would a 9x9 even be useful? Each image would still be 300x300 (each album/artist image), so instead of 900x900, it would be...what, 2700x2700 pixels?
Go for 50x50.
tbh I think 900px by 900px for 3x3 is a waste of space to begin with. maybe try 900px by 900px for 9x9

900x900 is ideal (IMO) for 3x3, seeing as there is another 3x3 generator that works mostly the same way...but the entire collage is 300x300. Tiny as fuck.

slice the pixel size by half for each album for 9x9.
Also another request: Foreign languages in titles.
I just don't see any need for a 9x9, there's no way I listen to 81 albums in a week, and I have no need to see my overall top 81 albums in a collage, but that's just me. A 5x5 collage or something smaller like that might be cool.
I think 6x6 would be nice, especially for the artist collage
I can see maybe anything above 6x6 being used for overall but being used for a 7 day is nuts
Anything above a 6x6 seems like it would be a just because we can kind of thing.
9x9 would take ages to be generated too. Maybe that idea should rest until 4x4 can be done.
I can certainly start work on a 4x4. I think it should actually be fairly simple.

it didn't work for me either because I checked both the 4x4 square and the artist one. you only need to check the 4x4 square for it to work.
