Haven't listened to Periphery and only a little Mastodon, but I'd say Cloudkicker's still very good compared to them.
Cloudkicker is very repetitive. But in a good way.

Before I have even listened to this completely, I'm recommending it. This is acoustic guitar, quick moving and flowing which is what I like. Get this in your playlist.
