40 years from now we're actually going to be able to customize the color of our furniture like this irl.
as soon as you request a change of color a team of highly professional painters is going to show up and immediately refurbish the place [t]http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/nickelodeon/images/3/3a/Bubles.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130416051124[/t]
Why would SSR look like crap? I thought SSR is the best possible solution for real-time reflections.
It's not a fix-it-all solution, SSR has to be used on the side of cubemap reflections. You can't just use SSR by itself. The limitations SSR has is that anything that is outside your screenspace can not be reflected. Anything that is not within your field of view does not show up in reflections.
Where's an accurate UE4 rendition of Mr.Crow? :(
That place looks like a broken neck waiting to happen, either rolling out of that bed or just falling into the open stair case when walking to the next room. Very nice looking though.
I can't wait for computers to be able to render this on the go... oh wait
Damn, higher walls around the bed I'd love to live there. Not a lot of space but it looks cozy as fuck.
Am I the only one who thought "SMOOOOOOTH JAZZ, NINETY-EIGHT POINT ONEEEEEE" while watching this?
man the reflection behind the sink looks awful. it breaks the whole room
it initially included it (during beta?) but it was either buggy or too heavy on processing and got removed pretty fast the new 4.8 release just reintroduced GI though. If this demo apartment shows up for download I could probably throw it in and convert it up, see how that system works
Add more reflection captures too, it was jarring to see the reflection of the lamp on the kitchen counter being so low-res plus the reflection capture of the other room was leaking over.
