They're not talented
lol
I always thought that the beatles were ok, but i never thought that their music was all that great. Sure they can sing, and play instruments, but i don't see why they are so loved.
I really love their music. Maxwell's Silver Hammer hammer always puts a smile on my face.
It's basically the pop band of the 60's. It confuses me, because my rock/metal friends hate Lady Gaga, and love The Beatles. My sister loves Lady Gaga and hates The Beatles. I want to kill them both. Go ahead and give me boxes.
Lady Gaga over-sexualizes everything and that's why I dislike her. Her music is catchy, but I don't like the lyrics, videos and herself. Maybe if I actually found her attractive I would enjoy it more. It might also be because my sister is in her Lady Gaga obsession phase and used loud clips of her songs as MSN Messenger alerts. But I feel that The Beatles focused more on romanticism than sexuality with their music. It seems more tasteful, even though they aren't deep or anything (from what I've heard anyway). Also, the Beatles sound waaaay different than Lady Gaga, so comparing them is pretty silly. Correct me if I'm wrong because I only listened to like five to twenty songs from both artists.
You know, I don't really mind Lady GaGa, I just don't like her enough to put any of her music on my playlists. If anything she is like the modern version of Elton John when he started doing full pop music and dressing crazy.
Gotta love people who go OLD MUSIC IS BEST MUSIC!
I doubt they would be famous if there were a lot more artists in their genre when they were popular.
I have argued this with my friends forever! I just don't understand why people think older music is soooo awesome.... :( I also tend to think older cars look retarded, but apparently, they're awesome too according to alot of people.
Old music is not that bad at all. I just hate it when people think new rock is total crap and when you ask them to listen to whole song, they listen to it at lowest possible volume while keeping in mind that it sucks.
Gotta love people who go OLD MUSIC IS BEST MUSIC!
Gotta love people who go PEOPLE LIKE MUSIC THAT'S BEEN AROUND MORE THAN 10 YEARS? MUST BE HIPSTERS!
Gotta love people who go PEOPLE LIKE MUSIC THAT'S BEEN AROUND MORE THAN 10 YEARS? MUST BE HIPSTERS!
I have never been like that. Just that people refuse to listen to new songs. Read my last post
George Harrison is one of the greatest guitarists I've ever seen. John and McCartney have some of the greatest voices I've ever heard. To say they're not talented is a misunderstanding :v: Ringo is also cool too :smug:
All you need is love
I listen to new music too. I have a 2006 pop-rock Russian album somewhere.
I have never been like that. Just that people refuse to listen to new songs. Read my last post
I listen to old music because I like it. I don't listen to as much new music but I enjoy Dream Theater and Radiohead.

no it's not it's saying that they're both successful pop bands that were innovative
no it's not it's saying that they're both successful pop bands that were innovative
So Lady Gaga is as influential as The Beatles. Right on mate. :frogdowns:
you're a dunce
and you can fuck yourself quite well.
okay I said they were both influential. I didn't say lady gaga is more influential than the beatles that wasn't even a decent attempt to put words in my mouth
After continually saying The Beatles is JUST pop, I think everyone here is worthy to put words in your mouth.
okay
Great. Anyone think that the early Beatles stuff is "underrated" for what it is, seeing as this is about overrating things? I really enjoy the early stuff as it has that distinct sound of the 60s rather than true creativity that they achieved after that period.

Everything is really loud, as hot as it can get, and this is pretty annoying. Take Death Magnetic for instance, and pretty much any other popular album.

I can understand why people think The Beatles only do pop love songs based on their early stuff (although that isn't true), but it certainly was their focus.
Ohhhh.. The Beatles from the beginning were interesting!! The earlier stuff is not THAT much inferior to their greater work!!
