I mean they could already be announcing a Quantum Break sequel, which I also wouldn't be opposed to. Or a whole new IP. It's remedy, it's going to be good.
Please let it be Alan Wake 2. The old gameplay prototype they had was sweet. .
That's what turned into American Nightmare, I thought.
As much as I'd like it to be another Max Payne I really don't think it's going to happen
at this point anything that's not Quantum Break.
Alan Wake is a fucking masterpiece
I think the setting was amazing, and I really loved the story but my god the gameplay was extremely repetitive. It made it a chore to get through the game, and I only stuck with it because I wanted to see how the story played out. I only played it for the first time a couple of years ago instead of when it came out, so that might have something to do with it. That being said, I'd love an Alan Wake 2, assuming they tackle the gameplay issues. Does American Nightmare have better gameplay? I have it on steam but haven't gotten around to checking it out.

You still have to use the flashlight obviously but there is semi and full auto weapons that have larger capacity which definitely helps.
imagine its quantum break 2 :v:
bold move
I'd fucking love it to be Max, but I doubt it. Either way Remedy kicks ass so I'm looking forward to whatever it is.
Idk what the relation between that video and the one yesterday is(if there is one). They use the same kind of tune at the end of both videos. Were there any easter eggs to potential future games in Quantum Break? I know there was an Alan Wake returns easter egg but idk about anything else
i think it's an announcement that they're working on something but aren't gonna show it off just yet
If it's called Alan Wake's Return and Alan Wake is trapped in the plot of his book Return, that'd be neat af. They did trademark it earlier in the year but claimed it was just for legalities and such. I wonder if they were stealthily thinking ahead.
Personally I think it is Max Payne.
nah, can't be max payne must be maximus hurt
nah, can't be max payne must be maximus hurt
Clearly it will just follow the story of Alex Casey from Alan Wake's book series, totally different so it's fine.
bold move
What the fuck they actually made this on their Remedy youtube account; holy shit this video is great
Maybe it's a new IP heavily influenced by Max Payne.
I have absolutely no interest in Alan Wake. I played and finished the game and instantly forgot about it the second I finished it. It was alright, I guess. Max Payne on the other hand is one of the best video game series' out there. The third installment is fucking gr8, and I still replay it from time to time just because it's so polished and nicely written. Don't forget that soundtrack, too. Fuck Alan Wake. Bring me those relatable, distressed alcoholic feels. Still remember how much people bitched about it being set in Brazil and not grimdark noir NYC.
'relatable stressed alcoholic feels' yeah you keep in your dream world buddy, im sure you -totally- empathize with maxy you badass you
Alan Wake is a fucking masterpiece
If there was just a bit of a change for the gameplay then yes.
Alan Wake is a fucking masterpiece
I stand by Alan Wake being Remedy's best game ever made, even considering its flaws. In regards to storytelling, I've never played a more compelling game. I STILL listen to Old Gods of Asgard (poets of the fall), Poet and the Muse is not only a superb song but a fantastic example of non-traditional plot advancement

It became a bit too repetitive. Either than that, everything else was top notch, and it was optimized fairly well, unlike Quantum Break.
What would another game with Max Payne even be about anymore? Give that bastard some rest already, he's getting old.
The only thing I had a quirk with, was the combat. It became a bit too repetitive.
'relatable stressed alcoholic feels' yeah you keep in your dream world buddy, im sure you -totally- empathize with maxy you badass you
Max Payne 3 is the exact of opposite of that. It's about a man completely out of touch with the world trying his old bravado and shock tactics in a place that deals with that stuff on a daily basis. Dragging himself out of his self-pity and self-righteous nature to actually save someone else accepting that everything he does for himself just made his life worse. It's a damn fine game but Max isn't remotely badass in it, with good reason. [editline]19th November 2016[/editline]
What would another game with Max Payne even be about anymore? I mean Max Payne 3 has the best shootouts and gunplay I have EVER played. Its a gold standard. But the story was meh, also yeah it being set in brazil made no fucking sense lol. Nicely written? Dude Rockstar just copy n pasted "man on fire". Dont get me wrong Max Payne 3 is still a very good game but imagine if the next batman movie was set in peru and batman was babysitting drunk rich party people instead of fighting crime in gothem? It wouldnt make any sense and it might as well not have been a max payne movie. Also Rockstar gave huge middle fingers to fans with this bullshit: "Mona sax was just a silly mistake"(it was something similar but that was the only time she was EVER mentioned in MP3) Really? The entire second game was almost a love story between the two. Rockstar just brushes off EVERYTHING that happened in the last 2 games with that dumb unnecessary piece of dialogue. I mean the last fucking line in max payne 2 was: SPOILER: "My wife is dead, but everything is going to be alright". People were emotionally invested in this story. The 3rd story was more like a weird but fun spin-off than a addition. Also why the fuck did Max ran away from new york over some petty mob boss? Max spent 2 games killing thousands of mafia goons, swat-like hitmen, special agents. I mean that is just silly. Like if batman saw the joker and went "oh fuck its the joker RUUN!!!" and leaves the country forever. Max Payne 3 story was pretty good by itself but it has nearly NOTHING to do with the past games. Thats why people bitched so much.
MP3's story has nothing to do with Max himself. There was no character progression; by the end of the game, I had no sympathy for Max after watching him down three bottles of whisky and puking in the sink for the nth time. Besides story issues, you couldn't play for two minutes straight without being interrupted by a cutscene.

I'm guessing "fuck all" because of how poor a synopsis of the plot that is.
It is pretty obvious what it is. They split the studio and are now working on two projects. One is obviously a video game Dick Justice. And since they now have experience making TV shows, the other one is TV series Lords and Ladies.
I have no clue why any of you are discussing a new Max Payne game by remedy to be a reality. I'm pretty sure rockstar has the IP on lockdown.
Why are people still debating which game it's going to be? It was clearly just that video "Making Games is hard", no actual game. The teaser said "New game trailer coming soon". The video starts with "new game trailer". That's it.
