Anyway, why are we still going on about wars? I tought humanity had already surpassed that phase with the fall of the nukes. Do people really still feel the need to wave their pricks around to see who has the biggest?

probably peaked in RATE of growth but by no means is china's economy plateaued or has stopped growing

Why does everyone have to assume X is a big country and wants to fuck up America, when really they are just doing what they have been doing for years now
1. Dollar diplomacy. We do a lot of trading with China, starting a war would not be a good idea.
2. Opposite sides of the world. Why would anyone want to conquer a piece of land so distant and with so many other nations between it?
3. U.S Air Superiority. The United States has always had the best air force in all of its conflicts, and I doubt that will change anytime soon. Why is an air force so important? Air superiority was the reason Hitler could take over parts of Europe but not Britain and Russia.
Unlikely that China would go to war with the US, since their economy is built almost entirely upon the debt the US owes them.
But, if they popped all their brain cells and decided to do it, the US would win. We have fewer troops, but they are better fed, better trained and have better equipment. Plus we have the bonus of not having to ship all our weapons and vehicles and supply chain across thousands of miles of ocean or arctic wasteland.
