"To Build a Fire" by Jack London is a 6.0.
"To Build a Fire" by Jack London is a 6.0.
It wasn't an amazing story in the first place to be honest.
Got a 22 on two derogatory words copied up to three pages. This shit is legit.
"bitch whore" x 1200 i assume
13.1 on my college application paper, I never knew how much I loved passive sentences, nearly a quarter of the essay is that.
The reason that posting swears again and again gets you high scores is because it is entirely incomprehensible by the software, and therefore thinks it'll be entirely incomprehensible to humans, therefore you're just confusing it. I expect it'll have the same problem with song lyrics.
9.9 on an essay.
Judging by this, the closer you are in the POSITIVES to zero, the better. Anything negative is basically shitty.
[img_thumb]http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/3974/ohlordy.png[/img_thumb] Apparently it likes big words.
It's actually pretty much completely derived off the average syllables, characters, and words in a sentence. :v:

Alright, I got a 12.2 for a report I did on why cats eat flowers.
This is hardly useful, and doesn't determine whether you wrote something good, it just can tell if you used big words.
11.6 on an old research paper about the history behind the Internet. [editline]30th December 2010[/editline] 17.5 on the iPod license agreement.
9.11 on my report on terrorism. :smug:
Wikipedia helps, it appears lower scores are better for the Flesch Reading Ease value. [img_thumb]http://i56.tinypic.com/2mo33tj.png[/img_thumb]
The entire point of a Flesch Reading Ease rating is to inform you of how easy something is to read. Whilst your context of linguistics sits within the confines of "university graduates", it would be ignorant to assume relative to the concept of this value system that it would be better to accumulate almost nothing. [editline]30th December 2010[/editline]
13.1 on my college application paper, I never knew how much I loved passive sentences, nearly a quarter of the essay is that.
You're suppose to avoid them. Lord have mercy this thread is just a results circle jerk.
Alright, I got a 12.2 for a report I did on why cats eat flowers.
Why do they eat flowers?
10th grade on an english paper On a message responding to a TF2 song request.... 12th Grade :v:
Top shelf my good sir! I deliver my absolute anticipation towards (surname of Bonked Soldier of the Wastelands) I am exceedingly satisfied with the mere pre-conception of the fulfillment of a feat such as the one you intend to execute. However, I do wish you the utmost endurance with the completion of this melody, as its excessive yet indulging rhythms will unquestionably engross your superfluous and potentially advantageous time. As you have previously detonated that Fury of the Bonk required approximately 46 hours, or 2760 minutes, or 165,000 seconds to fully consummate, would it be proper to theorize that the completion of this grand undertaking shall occur near mid-January to early February? Or perhaps the creation and perfection shall be present at a closer date? I have met quite a hatfull of other gentlemen who, quite decisively, protest lounging in their four-posters until a project of theirs has met it's ultimate conclusion. Do you follow such a practice? I would once again like to reiterate my sincere gratitude for welcoming my request, and I do hope that you shall find great pleasure in the recreation of this masterpiece.
I copied a few pages from The Inferno by Dante and it gave it a 1.9 reading level. I no longer trust this.

quick, someone try this.
Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villian by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
