I certainly would be. Especially if I had no real political experience.

i doubt it. you don't spend millions of dollars in campaign costs just to win and go "oh fuck i actually did it now what".

But to him it was only a small loan for the campaign :v:
God, that zoom in on Obama when Trump said he had great respect for him was comical

for some reason you have to be 35 to be president while it's only 18 in canada
This I can answer. The framers created this age limit back when the life expectancy was low. The thinking is if some one natural life limit was going be on average 40, then 35 years would be ideal. Why? Just in case the president tried to become supreme ruler and succeeds, they will die of old age and will not enjoy a long reign.
Its another check on power.
i wonder if trump is in shock at actually winning. he might be terrified for all we know
Couldn't you say that for all presidents, really?
I remember Obama seeming pretty pale after his first briefing.

If you look carefully you can see the spent shell casings ejecting from the side...
I will say, for Trump's sake, I hope he heeds Obama's counsel when it's given (spare the snide remarks "He won't" blah blah, I get it). For, one of Obama's greatest strengths is his people skills and how he maintains his public image.

This is wrong.
The low "average" life expectancy at the time was due to a higher infant/child mortality rate and lack of adequate health care. Dying between the age of 40 and 50 for a fucking president was not expected.
Look at the actual life spans of the US presidents:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Presidents_of_the_United_States_by_age
They didn't live as long as people today but they didn't commonly die in their 50s either. John Adams lived to be 90 years old for fucks sake.

Hillary is 69 as well. So they're both really old.

On the other hand, Trump became president by running his public image into the fucking ground and left it buried 20 feet below the surface so it doesn't seem to hurt.

Then you realize that Obama was interviewed about this tweet, and Obama said, "At least I will go down as a president of the United States." Trump won that exchange pretty hard unfortunately.

Did you just made this up ? That would make this law hundreds of years out dated (just like the electoral college stuff).
i wonder if trump is in shock at actually winning. he might be terrified for all we know
I'd be far more worried if he wasn't scared out of his mind right now. It would come with the territory of simply having the title regardless of how liked a President is. But a lifelong business magnate like himself would know how to mask emotions as well as any politician.

Do you know how dumb it would be to elect an 18 year old kid?
I've gotta say it gives me a bit of comfort that Trump seems to be taking it seriously now, he seems quite different from during the campaign and is at least being respectful towards Hillary and Obama.

There is nothing to gain by being disrespectful. There is no more competition. I refuse to believe someone who spewed as much vile rhetoric as Trump about both people but particularly Obama is genuinely respectful and has an eye on healing.

Nevermind obama's face in this picture look at trumps face, that face alone tells it all.
"What have i gotten myself into here..."
Is it me or does Trump sound like nervous
It's like he's not sure what to do next
The Lincoln statue behind obama looks like its on the verge of crying blood
Christ, reporters are like fucking vultures. Just bombarding them with questions the second the conversation ends. The press is cancer.
Do you know how dumb it would be to elect an 18 year old kid?
Well if they made it this far they're not just any 18 year old kid.
The meeting wasn't so pleasant due to the fact that they heavily dislike each other. Hard to be comfortable when you have to work with someone you pretty much hate.

to be fair you're talking about the outgoing and incoming presidents of the united states
they're damn near close to two of the most important people on the planet - the opportunity to ask a question of them and receive an answer, especially at this current juncture, is huge
as in potentially an answer that will go down in history given the historic nature of both men

I'm guessing he's tired after a bunch of late nights recently.
