Mighty Tape "Just stretch, wrap, and it fuses fast!" Even works in water. God damn that's good tape.
That's cool. But can it fix THIS!
DualSaw Yeah, a TV ad for a saw that can CUT A FUCKING CAR IN HALF.
[editline]09:31PM[/editline]
Yeah. Probably the most relate-able thing we have in Britian is Barry Scott, but he only sells cleaners. Billy Mays sold so many products and they are actually pretty much all really good products too. I would definitely buy some Mighty Putty at some point.
I saw a Billy Mays advert the other day. [editline]09:32PM[/editline]
Here are my opinions on billy mays and his fandom on the internet 1) His products were at best mediocre 2) To say he was a "hero" in any sense is a mockery of the word 'hero'. If you're going to call anyone a hero, let it actually be someone who risks there life for others, such as police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and soldiers overseas. Don't be a fucking idiot and call someone who sells products on a show a "hero" 3) The only reason why so many people on the internet care about him is because his loud yelling caused some people to make funny sound clips about him, and then everyone got caught in the bandwagon effect and held him up to be god. 4) His autopsy showed that he was on several different drugs, some of which were bad for his heart. Cocaine and other narcotics contributed heavily to his heart problems. He didn't die in a burning building, he didn't die saving a puppy from a river, he didn't die for his team in iraq, why the fuck are you giving him publicity and your utmost respect while you give the true heros dumb insensitive news puns? The internet as a whole is just one bulging hypocritical asshole. Thank you.
Don't crusade against the internet
I bet you can't guess who I named my profile after.

All hail the Billy!
I can't wait to see season 2 of pitchmen. At first I made the obvious conclusion that it was just paid programming in the form of a television show. Then I actually watched it and I could only think how cool these home inventors were.

Why are they continuing Pitchmen without Billy Mays?
I want the handy switch.
This thread makes me sad. :frown:
Actually I was trying to put it as nicely as I could :(
You weren't being an asshole and I defiantly understand your point. But he had such a personality a lot of people liked and I think thats why. I loved him :buddy:
Well no offence but all he did was make adverts. Does this mean you're going to make one for Churchill, the direct line telephone, the gocompare guy, (compare) the meerkat and any other main advert creator? He's a nice guy and all but I don't see why people idolise him so much. Sorry.
Exactly my thought. He was just a guy on tv advertising products. I have seen tons of people like him, not sure though why people likes him so much. Or liked.
Billy Mays Forever.
I wanted to bump this because the new season of Pitchmen premiers tonight.

I think that entitles him to being more than just "that guy who sells stuff in infomercials." [editline]04:26PM[/editline] When Billy Mays died, I felt like I just lost a huge part of my childhood. I grew up listening to his booming voice causing me to mute my TV speakers as I was about to go to sleep, and dammit, I miss that booming voice radiating through my household. I really miss it.
I actually almost shed a tear when he died he was just always my favorite guy to see during commercials and when jaboodydubs did tribute thing it made me sad here it is if you want to watch it
Does anybody else get a little offended when that one guy comes on.. I don't know his name, but he's in Pitchmen. Anyway, he advertises some of the stuff Billy used to. Or at least things made by the same company. Anyway, what I was getting at before. Does anyone else get a little offended when he comes on saying "Billy always said..." followed by the rest of the ad?
HI I'M BARRY SCOTT and I endorse this memorial thread to my long-lost brother, Billy Mays.

I turned on Discovery Channel just in-time to see an advert for Pitchmen, tonight at 9. Must not forget.
I wonder what Billy's wife thinks to him being an internet hero.
