The Chinese simplified their language. English countries can do the same.
We already did, we call it American English
If he wants to get rid of letters, get rid of s and k because c can do both. Get rid of f because ph can cover it too.
We already did, we call it American English
Again, I want to stress that simplified English is an actual thing, but not in America
There actually is a form of English designed for colonies in Africa and Melanesia where the Englishmen decided their language was too complicated for natives to learn. I believe it was a big thing in Papua New Guiana
ugh, the alphabet is made for quick writing. C is much quicker to write than K this guys voice hurts my brain [editline]2nd December 2015[/editline]
Well the sound is based directly off the Greek Zeta, which our alphabets Z comes from. Where the American form 'Zee' came from I'm not totally sure, though maybe it came from the Hebrew character Zeta is based off of, Zayin. [editline]29th November 2015[/editline] Or maybe some American just thought 'Zed' sounded retarded in the context of the other characters and just made it 'Zee' to fit in so the alphabet song isn't ruined at the end.
who knows. paul revere made the midnight ride simply because the other guy's name couldnt rhyme
Didn't we use to pronounce words that started with "silent" Ks back in ye olde englishe times? I think it's just a carryover from that age, we started pronouncing the words differently but the spelling remained mostly the same.
Dang, the Frenchies did a number on English.
I suspect that mute people are just speaking a dialect of French with slightly more silent letters.
