Because you're acting like basic intros to games can't be good.
They can. So we posted examples of intros that are generally considered good.

I didn't say that basic intros to games objectively cannot be good, I just personally don't like them.

But when you say it here, it sounds like you're saying that they objectively can be good. I'm pretty sure this kind of thing is subjective and there is no definitive "it's always bad" or "always good"/"can be good".
these arguments are the reason why private messages exist

Then you're wrong :v:
A good intro sets the tone of the game, introduces you to the world and characters, is choreographed nicely if its a cut-scene or designed nicely if its a level. You can like or dislike an intro, but there is such a thing as a good and bad one. Disliking a good intro doesn't make it bad, and liking a bad intro doesn't make it good.

Whiny people like you are why the ignore feature exists.

You like the presence of a 5 minute intro in HL2, so you'll say it's good. I don't like there being an intro, so I'll say it's a bad thing. Sure, I'll say it's a good for an intro, but I don't like it precisely because it's exactly that: an intro. With that in mind, it's not about whether it's a good intro or not for me, it's whether it's there or not (and if I can skip it).
