By current psychological definition, being "furry" is a psychological disorder and has varying degrees and levels. One of which evolves having sex with real animals or people dressed as animals because you believe you yourself are an animal.

Theres a big difference between simply being a furry and being a furry and advertising it. A small majority of furries are the ones who attention whore without actual realization of what they are doing and how arrogant they are by defending their 'pride'. There are more furries that you think who don't advertise it.
I'm defending the fact that most furries aren't all what many people say and are honest people, while noting the fact that the ones who do advertise and cause arguments all the time are the ones that are the scum of the Internet. They aren't sex craved animal fuckers, they are simply humans trying to be friendly about something and can't realize how bluntly careless people are about it.
