Minecraft doesn't appeal to me at all.
I find Minecraft to be too much of a grind to do anything really productive with it. Edit: Though, that might also be trace elements of ADD.
Can someone with aspergers interact with another person that has it more easily than with someone without it, or does that make it harder
Why do places have to have the same name, there's a school in kent, i think it is, with that name, got kicked out within 3 hours, never regretted it.
That school is like 10 minutes from where I live :O
do you look funny/deformed? if so,can you post a pic?
Oh sure all these people have Aspergers... I bet I am the only German here with it! Ah ha ha!!! yeah!
do you look funny/deformed? if so,can you post a pic?
You should make a thread: 'Have questions about mental retardation? Have them answered here!'

You bite your toe nails?
You should make a thread: 'Have questions about mental retardation? Have them answered here!'
Nice "no u" response.
You bite your toe nails?
Nope, I drop crates on them More pictures of my mental related physical defect and deformity from birth that will never be able to be treated by any type of science or thereapy Kids, make sure to wear shoes or preferably steel toed boots when handling crates that weigh anywhere from 10 to 70 pounds. It was even better when it was just swollen to the point that the only thing keeping the nail on was the connective tissue
Jesus they are disgusting
What makes you inherently different from a person without Aspergers? Conditional follow-up question: If nothing, why this thread?
What makes you inherently different from a person without Aspergers? Conditional follow-up question: If nothing, why this thread?
Read the thread yet?
Read the thread yet?
Yes, read it completely. Everything the OP has claimed about himself is something that I can potentially see in a person without Aspergers.
I have been diagnosed with Aspergers by 6 different doctors with different professions over the course of my life, the first few being as early as 5-years of age. As the OP said there are medications which can hinder the effects of it, but they can have extreme side-effects. I was always a trouble make until I got anti-anxiety medication and not anti-autism, I have been taking Zoloft for 10 years now without any side-effects. There was a shitty part of my life were I wanted to kill myself for no particular reason and me and my parents didn't know how to fix my depression issues, at one point a doctor suggested moving me into a 'special' school (a crazy house basically). How am I now? I have a scholarship to Duke university, near-perfect test scores, in charge of a program that helps kids with Aspergers, love life, and having the time of my life. I embrace my Aspergers, I wear it like a medal, I believe that it can improve your function if used right. Here's some tiny facts about me: • My 'specialty' is Reptiles & Amphibians • There is no real medication to fix Autism, but there are some that get rid of the basic symptoms (they come at a cost though) • It was hard for me to interact with others, I'm still learning, but I think I got it down • While I love Minecraft, it's not my favorite game. While it is strangely addicting, it's not my favorite • I have a very low pain-tolerance, very small things can hurt me a lot I have been studying Autism in general for years now, seeing as it greatly affected my life, so I can better understand myself and others. Autism is a spectrum disorder, which means it is like a gradient (it has a high-end and a low-end, with everything in between). For a while now they have suspected that Autism is a genetic disorder and that it slowly develops within the Human brain in the first 5 years of a persons life. It is an extremely common disorder, you're very likely to meet a person with Autism just about anywhere (and you probably won't even notice due to the spectrum). There was a study around February (which took place in the UK) that looked into Autistic peoples Cerebral Cortex (the most evolved part of the Human brain) and they found some astounding differences to a normal persons brain. Among the differences was that there was little-to-no difference (genetically) between lobes (sections of parts of the brain), which usually have at least 500 gene differences. Not only that but in each person they studied the cells were completely unique, as in two Autistic people's Cerebral Cortex's are completely unique. The team that released the study said they will be looking at other parts of the brain next. A renowned science team (like in the last 2 months) in the UK (again) said they found the genes for Autism, confirming past suspicions about Autism being a genetic disorder. The amount of genes was in the thousands, which explains the spectrum part of the disorder and the differences in Cerebral Cortex's. This also means it's extremely unlikely for a 'cure-all' drug to pop-up for Autism, since there is so many genes that do different things. Everything the OP has claimed about himself is something that I can potentially see in a person without Aspergers.
Just because someone coughs does not mean they have the flu. People with Aspergers can still act just like you or me, or vise-versa. [editline]6th July 2011[/editline]
What makes you inherently different from a person without Aspergers? Conditional follow-up question: If nothing, why this thread?
Genetics. [editline]6th July 2011[/editline] Oh I forgot: The reason people assume people with Autism like Minecraft is because a common symptom of Autism is obsession with stacking things (which I have :v:). [editline]6th July 2011[/editline]
Can someone with aspergers interact with another person that has it more easily than with someone without it, or does that make it harder
It depends on the individual with Aspergers, not Aspergers itself. [editline]6th July 2011[/editline]
My friend IRL has aspergers, and I know one or two others who are apparently diagnosed with it. But, to be honest, there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with any of them. My friend does visibly struggle to get along socially but he's had more girlfriends than I have (foreveralone.jpg). He's also not that great academically whatsoever. The other guys I know who apparently have aspergers show no sign of being socially challenged whatsoever. I actually once read this article about how aspergers is very much a more subjective diagnosis as there is no completely agreed specific symptoms for it, and its arguable that its not actually a condition at all. The article further went on to give the heart-crushing tale of a woman who so desperately wanted her child to be different that she practically forced the psychiatrist to diagnose her son with aspergers when he was perfectly normal. The sickening part was that she could do that legally.
That article is horseshit and the medical industry is extremely corrupt. [editline]6th July 2011[/editline]
I have it too... do you by chance have chronic insomnia? What about terrible handwriting? I have both.
Same here, but Autism in general is usually associated with other disorders and are not the same thing.

I'm surprised/impressed with how many people have Asperger's, I've only known a few peers with it.
dsads
I think I have aspergers but I don't really know for sure. I'm socially inept/awkward, can't talk to girls if my life depended on it, and have severe anxiety and panic attacks, it's gotten so bad that I barely leave my room.
Anxiety is associated, it does not mean Aspergers. But the socially inept may mean you have it. As I said before: people with Aspergers can act like normal people and vice-versa.
In dutch Asperge is this:
Has anyone ever treated you worse than before after they found out you have aspergers? Also would you rather wish you didn't have aspergers or not? Offtopic: firefox thinks the corrected spelling of aspergers is Gasper.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/gNAlU.jpg[/thumb] This is my toe :downs: [sp]Its not like anyone looks like they have downs, it's a damned mental condition[/sp]
The nail on my little toe is all fucked up like that, I must have a minor case of aspergers.
I've been told I have aspergers
First of all, thread music: I hate aspergers. It makes me feel extremely socially awkward. i can count all my friends one one hand, I've NEVER had a girlfriend, sometimes I'm too scared too speak my mind on the damn internet for the fear getting "dumbs". I feel great knowing how many fellow FPers have this. On a side note, Minecraft is NOT my favorite game. Mother 3 is by leaps and bounds. [editline]6th July 2011[/editline] AW FUCK, HOW DO I MAKE THAT SMALLER
i was professionally diagnosed with aspergers when i was 7 i got better
i was professionally diagnosed with aspergers when i was 7 i got better
Did your doctor give you antibiotics and you pooped aspergers out?
