The new transformers movies
I'm a fan of G1 and all but people need to lighten up it's a bunch of robots smashing each other is fun really that hard to comprehend?
I thought the new Transformers movies were good once they took Megan Fox out of frame.

:| They gave it 49 or 50 because if religion
Even though I'm Atheist, I still liked it a lot, I don't think your religious background shouldn't have affected your ability to enjoy the movie.
Kung Pow! Enter the Fist
That rating was about right. It was good until the whole bible thing kicked in. I personally give it a 7/10. It was kind of boring at times.
It was clear from the very, very beginning that he was carrying a bible with him. I loved the cinematography, and I actually thought the message was pretty strong. It wasn't just "religion is cool, save the bible". Eli wanted to take the Bible somewhere it can be preserved and savored, but that other guy wanted to use it to control people. Also, I like how every action scene was seemingly shot in one take.

Yes, yesss. Honestly I've never buckled over laughing so much, Kung Pow is fucking hilarious.
Escape from L.A.
[editline]01:43AM[/editline]
seriously? it's not worth a 3/10. and that has nothing to do with the religious message, no matter what it is. it was just an incredibly lackluster movie that tried to make up for it with a 'righteous message' and a [sp]'oh shit he was blind all along whoa'[/sp] twist. it was just overwhelmingly mediocre and forgettable.
Escape from LA is one of those "It's Kurt Russel, shut the fuck up" movies.

Yes. Because the "robots fighting" were incredibly blurry hunks of metal smashing into each other with no visible outline that we allow me to know who the good guys were so I couldn't root for anyone. And then the two fucking hours in between that of absolutely nothing.
The Last Airbender.
This feels like a knockoff of my knockoff thread.
Anyway, some similar films: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=938454
It was a good movie, entertaining. but the whole [sp]Eli doing this shit despite being blind[/sp] was a bit over the top.
I guess you could argue that [sp]he had God on his side protecting him and guiding him.[/sp]
Was he blind? At no point does the film mention him being blind, the fact that he was carrying a braille bible does not mean he is blind (anyone can learn to read).
Edit:
Ignore that, did a little reading up and apparently he is blind.

I don't know if it had bad reviews, but I watched english subtitles and still love it to death. His sword is something to die for, it's absolutely one of the coolest I have seen. It's a VERY exciting movie, I personally recommend it for a non-English movie, just as Dead Snow.
Blood Diamond, but it didn't get good reviews at all.
The 2nd Halloween remake.

This. I thought Japanese movies were parodies of this movie. :/
Maybe it's like professional wrestling over there, just with radioactive breath added. I don't know.

The fucking most underrated movie of all time. It's a pure cult classic and you need to watch it right now.

Image is down, what is the title?
I got another one.
The Lost World: Jurassic Park, the good/bad reviews are half n' half but I thinks its great.

Twister
And TLW is awesome. I love Jeff Goldblum.
Tim Burton's 9.
I think it sucks that the actual director of this film isn't given his due credit. Shane Acker directed this movie and not Tim Burton. The Screenplay was written by Pamela Pettler and not Tim Burton as well. Tim Burton was the producer of this film. While I acknowledge the fact that this movie could not have been produced without Tim Burton this still bothers me. Time Burton's name should not be directly linked to this movie's title. I mean it is just the fact that I have taken a severe disliking to a lot of what he has directed in the past few years save for Alice in Wonderland just because I have not seen it. He certainly is a "hit and miss" director because Sweeney Todd was pretty good. but a tad bit too gray (though that is kind of the general mood for the movie anyways.)
