The second time this really popular chick (whore, who I've never even talked to) asks me and I say no and she stares at me in shock.

I think, and I don't know but I'm guessing, that you're exaggerating.
It's not a big deal. Just come up with a good retort and do what you want with your own work. But when a day rolls along that you need help, don't ask because you won't get it from your peers.
It's okay to let some close friends copy your from time to time. But when everyone does it you put your foot down and say no. And even your close friends needs a no now and then. If it's something easy then let them, if it really does take a lot of work, say no or suggest working together on it.
I had it pretty similar, but I just told people no and uttered my disgust at them cheating and left it at that (as in, don't make it into anything more than "I dislike you doing that one thing"). They could find me weird for it sometimes or find me to be too strict and shit, but why should you give a fuck about that? It's your work and effort.
Basically, just find a way to make it even with the ones you share with. Is it some crisis or some piss easy stuff, then alright. But mostly, try to co-op with them and otherwise make them understand how fucking pointless it is to copy peoples homework.
I have a pretty similar problem, but it's only in my classes where I interact with the commoners. Two mandatory classes, the others are all honors/optional, and nobody cheats. I'm really don't mind sometimes, but others, it pisses me off.
I have a similar story. After completing a lab writeup, I told everyone I was finished and that I was willing to share it. However, I sent a false version that had half the lab writeup and the rest was 30 pages of thequickbrownfoxjumpsoverthelazydog. Of course, people are just going to look at the first 2-3 pages and say "Cool, this will do" and print it off.
Ask for sex or money in return.
Homework is fucking stupid, you sit in school for 8 hours a day and then they expect you to do even more shit to interfere with your home life. Have they ever heard of something called "personal time"? That's why I rarely do homework.
Homework lets you repeat what you did at school to ensure you learn things. It's also a good way of seeing what you haven't learned. Plus, as long as you pay close attention in class, homework won't be much of a problem.
intentionally sabotage their work and then give it back to them claiming it has the right answers
they will not give it another glance and will be none the wiser
then they will never ask to copy your work again

yeah that's all fine and well
except they grade you on homework, meaning if you DON'T know the stuff already, you will not get it done and your grades will suffer, and if you DO know the stuff already, you don't learn anything and it's pointless
homework is a flawed system that will never go away because teachers are too stupid and low-paid to realize that it is bad for their students
Honestly, use the trade for trade method.
i sometime let my REAL friends comy my works, but just because i know they will let me copy when i need something, too
Equivalent exchange.
Also, if a bro just wants to compare H/W for a class I let him.

Homework will never go away because it's just one of those things people don't work to get rid of, saying "it's just part of life" or some such nonsense.
I almost have the same problem.
But since I pretty much only excel in IT stuff and we only pretty much have Cisco tests, the answers are readily available online so people just check them online instead of asking me.
Ah, one of the perks of being mediocre.
I had the same problem before, I just pretended like I wasn't done until it was time to turn in the work or something.
Can i copy your work?
OH MY GOD SOMEONE IS RUINING HIS OWN EDUCATION HOLY SHIT CALL AN AMBULANCE!!!!!!
Also a lot of very smart people don't like doing homework because it is boring and usless and the topic of it is already understood by them. In these cases they can copy off the answers from a friend. It's part of helping eachother out.
In some cases, the teacher would blame for you and the cheater for cheating. Sometimes, the cheater would take credit for it.
I wouldn't mind if someone wrote their answers in their own words, but most of the time, they copy your exact answers.
Make your handwriting terrible.
Make your handwriting terrible.
Mine always is terrible, so I don't have to worry about this.
My classes run off of a "sharing" system with classwork and homework. We all end up sharing out work equally amongst ourselves to help those out that might have forgotten to do something. I really don't mind sharing my work that much. I'm used to it by now.
Shoot up your school.
