They come in pretty handy, although a wireless one might be better. They tend to be pretty cheap so that shouldn't be too much of a problem.
You can find wireless on ebay for cheap.
Really though a cable is good enough. I wish they would make a way to hold the shutter open in bulb mode without holding the shutter button down, in camera.
Guys, is there some sort of super secret trick with photographing that removes the annoying "light rays" from street lights?

My IR remote does that for me. Press it once, shutter open, press it again shutter close. Really handy for $10.

It's a Tamron 90mm prime, f/2.8
That's the very closest I could get with the minimum focusing distance, I used my tripod for this one.

It was when George Bush came to London on his last visit as President.
Shit went down.

Meh..
it plugs into the 3.5mm jack on the side, also read descriptions properly why would you need ir for a rf trigger
I might do a thing where I tell what camera people have in news events.

How'd you get the spider to stay so still? Was he just still on his own?
I don't know about you guys, but Vogue is amazing. I picked up a copy my mom had laying around and it blew my mind.
I suggest flipping through it if you can.
The lighting in this room is atrocious (the voltage to the house is too high so we have to use energy efficient bulbs as normal ones burst weekly but they just seem so ... dark :saddowns:) but I just really had to share a picture of my new bunny with you guys.

7 weeks old and currently not got a name.
After working for some time as a studio assist, I took my girlfriend and my D60 to a studio for our very own studio photo shoot. Criticism is :siren:VERY:siren: welcome.
How'd you get the spider to stay so still? Was he just still on his own?
By moving very slowly. He stayed pretty still for the most part. Got him to turn towards the camera by moving my hand suddenly.

Most of people I've asked for feedback agree on this. Should I try to make it lighter through photoshopping y/n?

sort of thing you can get with a wee bit of curve adjustment and levels
Snow is finally falling where I am. Sadly I don't own a DSLR *sigh*. On the bright side. Christmas is almost here. Probably going to pick up a Canon T2i (550D) or Canon T1i (500D).
Also, I realize you don't need a DSLR to get good shots but my camera isn't that great either.
Contrary to the whole "equipment doesn't make a photographer" mantra, there is a huge gap between a point&shoot and a low-end DSLR. Yes, you can create masterpieces with a P&S but it's like painting with your foot - it's possible, it will work just the same way after a while, but sometimes there's just no point in killing yourself with it.
A skilled photographer can get DSLR-quality shots with a P&S, but I sure as hell can't get the same shots with a P&S as I do with a DSLR.
I need more feedback, I must develop

I realize, guys. I realize. :buddy:

You're right, but the amount of time that perfecting your methods with a P&S is so excruciatingly large you could become a master with an analog/dslr with the same effort. Sometimes it's just not worth the trouble in my opinion.
