Our school photo project was to take pictures of "Hands and feet doing things you wouldn't expect them to" An example she gave was manicured hands working on a car engine.

I'm babysitting some bearded dragons for someone I know (their landlord is forcing them to move due to pets that they previously let them have - so they're moving house.) So I thought I'd take a picture as they're quite cute. :buddy:

Got back from a ski/snowboard trip with my neighbors yesterday. Uploaded all the pictures. Most turned out really blurry and terrible. The photography aspect of my trip was an over all disappointed, though I guess I cant be too upset about it because that wasn't the point of the trip.

Here are what I think are the best two out of all that I took:

As a side note, taking pictures on a bunny hill is dangerous shit. It's either little kids that don't move to avoid people, or older kids who cant turn because they are beginners. I would have gotten more interesting pictures if I trusted myself to take my camera up and down the hill, but I ate shit too many times to risk it.

C&C is welcomed but not requested.

All these are a few years old now. Just rummaging stuff up from my ghost of internet past.

I took this a couple of years ago at a climate change march and concert in London.
It's the lead singer of Razorlight.

I was part of the march and a random guy came and gave me a fluorescent, reflective jacket with 'PRESS' written on the back. I walked up to the stage door and just got waved in. Was in the VIP section with all the artists. Got some good shots of behind the scenes.

Also, here's another old one...

I kinda like how it's out of focus and blurry. The colours seem to merge into each other like a painting.
The flower was probably only a few mm wide - using extension tubes with the 1.8, 50mm prime lens.

sorry to be harsh but I don't find any of those particularly interesting, they are the kind of shots that people take on their first day with a new macro lens (if that was the case then hey, good job!). If you seriously want to do macro photography go outside of your house and find some subjects that are interesting.

Actually I was experimenting with the macro setting on my Point and Shoot. And that's fine, this is my first real photography class.

It's not that great, the macro wouldn't focus properly.

When taking macro photos I find it's best to set the focus manually then move the camera back and forth until you get the subject in focus, possibly whilst continuously taking pictures so at least one will be in focus. The problem might also be your shutter speed if you're taking the shot hand held. You generally need a lot of light to take a hand held macro photo since you have to get so close to the subject and you're probably in your own shadow.
