Thats a pretty neat shot.
I just leave this here.
Our school photo project was to take pictures of "Hands and feet doing things you wouldn't expect them to" An example she gave was manicured hands working on a car engine. I am curious as to what Facepunch would have done.
Holy shit, I love that shot! - Can you please upload a high res version, that I can use as my wallpaper?
Sure :) [img_thumb]http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/3585/angst.jpg[/img_thumb]
Thanks, man. I really needed a new wallpaper anyways, since my friend came up with the brilliant idea to change my old one to a picture of his dong.
[img_thumb]http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/010/7/c/bearded_dragon_by_eemmzzz-d36vss2.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/010/a/3/happy_beardie_by_eemmzzz-d36vswd.jpg[/img_thumb] I'm babysitting some bearded dragons for someone I know (their landlord is forcing them to move due to pets that they previously let them have - so they're moving house.) So I thought I'd take a picture as they're quite cute. :buddy:
Got back from a ski/snowboard trip with my neighbors yesterday. Uploaded all the pictures. Most turned out really blurry and terrible. The photography aspect of my trip was an over all disappointed, though I guess I cant be too upset about it because that wasn't the point of the trip. Here are what I think are the best two out of all that I took: As a side note, taking pictures on a bunny hill is dangerous shit. It's either little kids that don't move to avoid people, or older kids who cant turn because they are beginners. I would have gotten more interesting pictures if I trusted myself to take my camera up and down the hill, but I ate shit too many times to risk it. C&C is welcomed but not requested.
I love the second one. The orange is a bit bright though.
orange is fine on my screen
I like the orange.
I love the second one. The orange is a bit bright though.
That's how bright his pants are IRL...
All these are a few years old now. Just rummaging stuff up from my ghost of internet past. I took this a couple of years ago at a climate change march and concert in London. It's the lead singer of Razorlight. I was part of the march and a random guy came and gave me a fluorescent, reflective jacket with 'PRESS' written on the back. I walked up to the stage door and just got waved in. Was in the VIP section with all the artists. Got some good shots of behind the scenes. [editline]11th January 2011[/editline] Also, here's another old one... I kinda like how it's out of focus and blurry. The colours seem to merge into each other like a painting. The flower was probably only a few mm wide - using extension tubes with the 1.8, 50mm prime lens. [editline]11th January 2011[/editline] Haha, have another! Seems a bit too sharp now that I look at it. Oh well. If you seriously want to do macro photography go outside of your house and find some subjects that are interesting.

And that's fine, this is my first real photography class. [editline]11th January 2011[/editline] I also took this yesterday It's not that great, the macro wouldn't focus properly.
When taking macro photos I find it's best to set the focus manually then move the camera back and forth until you get the subject in focus, possibly whilst continuously taking pictures so at least one will be in focus. The problem might also be your shutter speed if you're taking the shot hand held. You generally need a lot of light to take a hand held macro photo since you have to get so close to the subject and you're probably in your own shadow.

I have this: Canon Powershot G2 [editline]11th January 2011[/editline] Also, thanks for the C&C, I'm appreciative of that.
that one was free-lensing actually, I love the effect, no lightroom vignette on that one!
Yeah? It looks great. I looked at it in original size, blew my mind. I went for a drive to scout locations for later today. 5spd + fwd actually handles pretty well in the snow.
