yes, shave that stache. Without it, you'd actually look pretty awesome in that picture. Your left eye is really intense and the hair works.
just got back from Disneyland!

I've always wondered how you got that look. The colours, tones, and light all work so well. How do you do it?
Well I read a little of the strobist 101 link Uber|nooB Posted, Hopefully this is worthy enough too post. Made my niece stand in front of the camera. Hope you folks like it.

that strobist stuff is pretty interesting, and I found a reportedly reliable remote flash sync for $40, sweeeet

Whoop! Fire!

Fire is oh so much fun to play with. But it's BAD!

Colors/Tones are from curves adjustments. Lighting is mostly all natural light but I have an extensive studio lighting gear collection.
First time posting around here.
These are some pictures I took from my trip to Hawaii back in late October, I wasn't really trying to achieve anything artistic here, but I'm pretty fond of how they turned out. Plus I managed to get a shot of Waimea Canyon on a clear day.

This last picture is actually where they shot a few scenes for the first Jurassic Park, I was staying with my Aunt when I visited and she literally lives like a quarter mile away from this.

So yeah. Nothing special really, I just felt like posting these here. :buddy:

I wish I had the confidence and expression to do what latir has.
I've recently started pushing myself to take more self portraits. Regardless of the photographic outcome, it's good exercise.

I have yet to do much in self-portraiture, mainly because I rarely like the outcome.
I think this is the only one I've actually posted that I took of myself-

C&C please: more on my flickr (uploaded 11 more shots tonight).
I walked home from school only to find a deer in my yard, so I got some shots of that too, nothing too close-up though. It seemed rather giddy, because I later found out one of it's front legs was broken. Had to phone the conservations' office to report it.
so 52 weeks of you adding color correction to photos of your face?
I wish! That would be so easy for me! I'll probably get more creative throughout the year, so don't worry!
Just bought my first prime :monocle:
50mm f1.8 OM. Yay. Can't wait for it to arrive.
Just bought my first prime :monocle:

I shall be obtaining something of this nature too.
Here's a good story, I was at a pawn shop and I was searching through all their lenses to try and find one with a bayonet mount (Pentax K-x) I finally found one and it was a 50mm 1.8. Was pretty decent too and extremely cheap. So I put it back down and keep searching for others.
Didn't find anything but then I start looking for the prime and I couldn't for the life of me find the bastard, I probably set it down somewhere obscured but I literally searched for a good half an hour. The people at the shop were looking at me like I was an idiot.
Sad day.
I just got my 50mm 1.8 in the mail, I'm so happy

Hey guys, trying to get my hands on a copy of lightroom - which I think will drastically improve my post production and workflow.
I can't be bothered with photoshop - it's far too complex for me.
Can anyone suggest some basic workflows for me to get me started?
I just got my 50mm 1.8 in the mail, I'm so happy
Do you like it? I'm thinking of buying one
A image (12 actually, but still..) I took last year. It's rather big. I'm not kidding. Big.
