Really? Your standards are slightly disturbing then as she looks great.
Nah, I just said hello to the little fella. :buddy:
There is such a thing as an unflattering outfit. Yes she is skinny, but does the outfit compliment that? Not really, or maybe it's just me, lol it's to early in the morning for me to tell.
But yeah, good pictures but those cheek piercings are a bit over the top for my tastes.
I wouldn't say it is unflattering - and even if it was it certainly doesn't make her look "fat." Again, what the Christ is with some peoples standards of the word "fat"?
This is just my opinion of course but I am still baffled by anyone thinking she looks "fat" - the word is used far too lightly. Though this topic isn't about that so I'm going to leave my view there so I don't spam up the place.
Any idea what I could've done wrong with my HDR?

All right that was over the top but just what came to my mind when I saw it. Ths skirt just emphasizes the belly so much. Not as in "wonderfull trained belly" but more as in "stretchtrousers over belly to press it flat".
That's what I mean.
Didn't want to sound like a dick. I should stop being one. Gah.
Perhaps post a link to a download for the raw image so we can have a look? Might help.
The 3 pics are 55,6 MB together :(

Pretty, Xyrec.
And will download and take a look now.

I tried to mess about with it and got something like this. The software I use has a "de-haze" option - so I think it looks a little less misty maybe?
Hope you didn't mind me messing with your image.

Went to put the recycling boxes out about an hour ago and did some more photogrphy:

You can still see the moon (and an aeroplane) which I thought looked pretty neat.

And another snail! :buddy:
Where the other snail was from yesterday morning the shell was now empty, it must have been eaten by a bird. :smith:
edit: damn you automerge.

It's much better than what I did! The window would still need some work but I guess that's all the pics themselves provide!

This shot is really bad, the composition on the plate is boring and plain, there's no garnish or anything to make it interesting, it just looks like an overcooked piece of meat. You also need to mop the excess grease off the top.
On a technical level, this shot fails as well, nowhere near enough of the image is in focus, along with it being on a horrible angle and the lighting not being at all proper for this type of photography. You need to photograph from at least a slightly higher angle, and think about how to make things more presentable and appetizing.
wasnt overcooked at all but sure
wasnt overcooked at all but sure
My point is that it looks that way. It could have been the best bit of steak ever, but nothing about that picture makes me think "Tasty".
Standard boring 365s:

what do you guys think of the new flickr by the way?

Constructive criticism, you don't understand it.
Constructive criticism, you don't understand it.
How is it not? I'm telling him exactly what I think is wrong with the shot. I didn't just say "This photograph is the worst thing I've ever seen" I said exactly what elements of it I thought weren't good enough, and made recommendations of what to improve.
Here's a hint for CC: Don't start it with 'This shot is really bad' and don't say things like 'On a technical level, this shot fails as well' it's most obviously not a nice thing to say.

CC doesn't have to be nice. It was a really bad shot creatively, and it was also bad for technical skills, as well. I didn't do anything but tell the truth of what I saw. Sugar-coating it is only going to make you confident in bad work.
It does have to be nice, there's nothing constructive about being a cunt
[editline]11:48PM[/editline]
It's not sugarcoating something, it's just rephrasing it so you don't sound like an obnoxious ass.

I could have phrased it slightly nicer, but that wouldn't have changed the fact that there isn't much redeemable about the shot. It being nice isn't the same as being constructive, you can be nice and not say a single useful thing, or you can be nice and say constructive things, and you can also be an ass and do both of those.
I didn't say your actual advice was bad.
I wouldn't mind eating that.
I'm thinking of getting a "walk around" bag for my dslr. Something where I can have my camera ready without lugging around my 10 pound gear bag.

It's really just a man purse, but I was wondering if anyone here had a better suggestion.
