This is a photography thread, not a photoshop thread, sorry.
shhhh, I posted a video last page.
I kind of want to get into portraits and self portraits but... don't really know where to start. I'm not used to having people pose for the camera, it feels so awkward.
went on my shoot today, will bring content

Do what feels natural, the least awkward, and you'll grow into it.
Soo many photos, so little time :/ linky : http://3.ly/2rbB btw anyone know how to make photoshop.com host my images for me? EDIT: screw it, just look at them on the link, image hosting being a pain... Criticism is welcome (constructive or not)
What is with that left guys eyes?
long exposure + flash, there's gonna be some imperfections. (I said this on the image on flickr)

I have some sort of obsession to delete any image I don't like anymore even though I may look back on that memory in the future...
I dump all my photos into folders organised by date. ~/Pictures/Photos/Unprocessed/yyyy/mm/dd If I see any I like, I'll make a link to it from another folder, and if I post process any, I make another copy somewhere else. ~/Pictures/Photos/Flagged/yyyy/mm/dd ~/Pictures/Photos/Processed/yyyy/mm/dd
mines years > date /w a key word specific to the photos

What the hell is your secret for shots like that? Been trying to get good pic's of my brothers car for his web thing and I'd like to know how to get results like that.

You'd be surprised at how even just the quality of the light can affect your shots.
You'd be surprised at how even just the quality of the light can affect your shots.
The perfect practical example of this is using an offhand flash. Bouncing the flash off the walls completely changes the depth of the image.
So lets say I am trying to snap a photo of a car moving and I want the background to be blurry to convey motion. Whenever I try that I track the car but it comes out blurry still like I am not tracking it well enough...

I'll post all the pics later today. Rolling shots can be a bitch, but it's basically just driving two cars in formation, with the photog hanging out the window and taking pics. Just keep a steady pace and maintain the same speed and just take a bunch of pics. One of them is bound to be sharp.
Okay so its something that you kinda just set up, take some consecutive shots while tracking and hope at least one comes out.
