pretty much lol
HDR maybe? I'm not sure but I want to know they are really nice..
HDR, lol! You really are funny. HDR is never nice IMO
I don't get the jizz over external flashes.
Who's hatin' on HDR? before: after: [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] that is, however, faux-HDR using my film negatives :smug:
I'm hatin on HDR. And as nice as that looks, it could still be made (and better too) manually with Photoshop. and the sky looks photoshopped in. you can see the clouds have moved. Why would you need to photoshop in the sky if you used HDR

I think that second one needs the flash turned down with more ambient light, It really does look like she has been pasted onto the background.
I don't get the jizz over external flashes.
Do you have one? I would have said the same thing a year ago, but having used my flash and learning where it's really useful, I feel like I can't live without it.

I've arsed about in lightroom, with filters and split toning a bit and I remember being told not to use that so I'm shy about uploading.

What equipment do you use/editing afterwards?
Going with my brother and a few friends to a park tomorrow, to see him skate. I will be bringing a 18-55/f3.5-5.6, a 70-300/ f5.6 and a sturdy tripod. Tips?

D'awww, awesome! :h: You should take him outside, make him do the same pose and then get a better background, cause it's very distracting.
Yeah I wasn't actually trying to take a good picture, but I might bring him outside some day and try.
The photo is cute, I think it was taken just to take a photo of your child for memories in the future.
noob, he's got it on auto [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] :v:
You can't be sure of that. Maybe he just likes the pop-up flash.

How would my friend and I go about making it so that we can set both of our cameras to go off at exactly the same time? We're gonna take some skate photos but we want to have two cameras set up to see the same shot from different angles. So yeah we want to make both cameras fire at exactly the same time but we're not sure how.

Would be nice to get some C&C, i understand that its much effort to click on a link...
We've both got 500Ds. It is possible to get a remote shutter button to trigger two cameras then?
We've both got 500Ds. It is possible to get a remote shutter button to trigger two cameras then?
You could regular-trigger one cam then remote shutter the other.... but i cant find a product that can do more than at a time, apart from DIY
Do you have one? I would have said the same thing a year ago, but having used my flash and learning where it's really useful, I feel like I can't live without it.
No, and this post didn't explain why it's remotely useful. [editline]17th January 2011[/editline]
[img_thumb]http://www.snapfactory.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/twit-interactive.jpg[/img_thumb] Yeah I totally don't get it
Nope. Doubt that applies to even a third of this thread because I'm definitely not a studio photographer (and never would want to be, ugh).
Nope. Doubt that applies to even a third of this thread because I'm definitely not a studio photographer (and never would want to be, ugh).
The point was that you're trying to nullify what is a pretty reasonable aspect of photography. Photography is about capturing photons right? So why shouldn't you be able to have some controllable light? I could go on and on with all kinds of things you can do with an 'external flash', like rim lighting, fill flash, put it through beauty dishes, umbrellas, etc. You won't realize how useful they are until you properly use one. Even then most people can see the advantages without having to have experience. I mean come on, it's a flash you can use to manipulate the light in your shots. I value natural light quite a bit actually, but that doesn't mean you should throw out the concepts of controlled light.
