Editing? I would think maybe changing the hue/sat just a bit. Or if you really want, straitening out the tunnel
first image, sadly, not much redeemable about it. Dark shot of pencil shavings, feels ugly, and kind of tweaks at my OCD to want to wipe them away, haha. second/third/forth, with the pin-shape toy. I like the first of the three the most, the other two make it too obvious you used a spoon and it kind of kills the illusion. I think you should get a lower angle that doesn't show much other than the pins, so a viewer can't just guess it's that toy right away. the fifth one is promising, but feels a little too cramped in how close you are to the window frames. I'd say either step back and frame the window a bit better, or get closer and don't get the window frame in the shot. Something about seeing the frame makes it cozy, though, so play with keeping it in. the fake candle is just kind of blah, the picture is too empty without making a point of the emptiness. I'd say get farther back and have the candle all by itself in the dark, that may be cool. school notes, not interesting again. Might mean a bit more to you or someone still in school, but I avoid remembering that part of my past :v: finally, the swinging metal ball streak. an OK concept, but it's way too dark. Overall, I want you to turn up the ISO on your camera, or slow down your shutter speed, or open up your aperture a bit. Play with settings to get more light into your camera.
Haven't posted in a while, but here's a recent (taken this morning) piece of work for uni. Al C&C welcome.

You have a background layer. What do? Right click the layer and DUPLICATE LAYER. don't forget to name that jive turkey. What does it do? it turns your layer into a force of nature. Anything whiter than 50% gray will increase highlights, anything darker than 50% gray will deepen shadows. If you had a blank layer instead of this sexy duplicated photograph, I'd encourage you to use a paintbrush to manually adjust highlights and shadows and do all sorts of magic. Now, what did it do since I have a duplicate image set to an overlay? It turned this flat, gray environment into something out of a war game on the PS4, deep earthy tones blowing your mind and bringing out everything you ever loved about that one girl who you met in the club I think her name started with a C, but that's unimportant because PS4 graphics are overhyped by the year 2014, stay ahead of the curve, son. big image warnin' [img_thumb]http://ploader.net/files/6afda2346bd98fbc0866fb9296e95c64.jpg[/img_thumb] personally looking at the picture overall the blur isn't very fine-tuned and looks very blatantly photoshop blurred around the face/neck (granted it was probably rushed for sake of example, but I'm still pickin' at it). Some skin details should really remain, but that's just me. I'm less about the 'beauty/fashion/glamour/vanity' stuff and more about capturing the person. All the little flaws like freckles and creases from smiling are way too much to overlook for me.

Nerves kicking in. Falmouth asked me for a portfolio of 15-20 images, so I'm going to be extremely picky about which ones I send in. I should think of a project to structure some images with.
just remember to keep your portfolio varied; if you have three consecutive pictures of the same person wearing the same clothes posing for you they're gonna think less of how much experience you have. PRESSURE also I should sleep. You should sleep. Think of a project after a nap, be relaxed.
