were these ones rushed?
Always are, that is why it's a nature shot, one including a cheap black and white/split tone
thanks bud! @latirCole thanks for the favs on flickr By the way, I like the day 189's right photo with this isolated person. Why have you started to post such small versions? Is there any way to view the .CR2 raw files in windows explorer? [editline]05:09AM[/editline] maybe I need to start shooting in RAW+jpeg
If you're not using an editing program like CS5, lightroom, or aperture then there is no point in shooting RAW.
If you're not using an editing program like CS5, lightroom, or aperture then there is no point in shooting RAW.
I know
Picasa edits RAW files, though I'm not exactly sure how. The little fucker always auto-balanced my RAWs :argh:

I'll still do it with pictures i think are worth seeing in a bigger size

Got Aperture 3, it's really quite rad, definitely an improvement over Aperture 2.
I'm a dumbass, if a camera has 8.1MP and I set it to take pictures at a lower resolution, would I still get awful grain and shit?
I'm a dumbass, if a camera has 8.1MP and I set it to take pictures at a lower resolution, would I still get awful grain and shit?
The grain you're seeing is the result of a high ISO. If you're on a point and shoot anything above 400 ISO is going to give you noticeable noise in your photo.
Made a pretty little* panorama picture http://filesmelt.com/dl/Panorama2WORKEDJPG.jpg *21109x2024 pixels

The only ISO I know is a disc image file. [editline]06:10PM[/editline] [img_thumb]http://img.smape.com/images/review/Sony_Ericsson/C905/cam/DSC00057.JPG[/img_thumb] As you can see, there's multicolored grain all up in that bitch. It was taken with a phone, however I worry I'll get the same problem on a camera.
Lol a phone? Don't you have a digital camera or something else? Still, weird how good the quality is for a phone. ISO is the sensitivity of the image sensor. They higher the ISO the more grainier the picture will also be. For example, you want to shoot sports and there is very little light. You heighten the ISO to allow you to shoot with higher shutter speeds. The consequence is that there will be more cruder grain visible in the picture. It's a necessary trade-off.

Nice one latir. I like the simplistic and minimalistic approach and the contrast in this photo.
I don't even know.
Just another "Do I have a decent camera" post. [editline]07:34AM[/editline] Got bored and decided to edit it, too.
