taken in juarez, mexico, july 13
most of the pictures i post in here for a while will be from juarez. not just because i took a shit load of pictures, but because i'm pretty sure i left my charger there. i haven't done a lot of editing of the pictures but when i do there'll be lots more.

That's a beaut' of a setting.
The sky is always worth photographing on summer mornings. Pic was taken at about 03:30 AM, I just saw the beautiful sky on my way home, and I had to have a pic.
My new lens arrived today. Only taken a few shots out the window to get a feel for it but I am very happy with it (the 55-200mm nikkor.) :h:

Managed to catch a seagul! :buddy:
Nothing amazing just the top of the gazebo in the back garden but I love how it caught the rain.

Just recieved a cheapass wireless flash transmitter from dealextreme. It works fucking flawless.
Here's a photo I made, from all these exposures with the transmitter.

Nice composite shot! Very well lit, and the shadow doesn't stand out too much.

Nice one! Great atmosphere.
Train blurring by movement would make it outstanding.
GET BACK THERE!

I would, if it wasn't so expensive :P It's like 4,50$ for a one way ride. It's supposed to be 2,50 for me but the system is fucked up and won't give the the option for some reason.

Would be nice scaled down a bit more, as it is a tad blurry. The way you desaturated everything but the marbles, I was going to call it unoriginal but I kind of like it in this situation, as the colors are very subdued. I get a vintage feel from it.

These are my favorites.
The Rainbow behind the barb wire... well, speaks for itself. Great juxtaposition and colors.
That cat's face is unnerving. I've never seen one with such a thin nose. Almost looks mouse-like.

yea, i wasn't going to do it that way at first, but then i started messing with it and i thought it looked kinda cool haha. and i always forget to re-size the image after I'm done haha
The cat was pretty cool after each picture I took she would slightly move her head or change where she was looking. I think she must be a secret fashion model :3: (not my cat so just saying she cause it look quite feminine.)
On my cameras display the rainbow one didn't seem too interesting but when I looked at it on my laptop I really liked it how it looked.
Thanks for the comments too. :h:
First time sharing my photo's like this on facepunch, I think.

There is too much of the out of focus branch in this. In my opinion it ends up dominating the shot. If it had been in focus or if there was less of it showing it'd look much better.

Like most new photographers, you seem to lack any good subjects. The first one of the bird is nice, but could use a but of post processing.
Second one would have been nice... if there was something there.
Third could have used some cropping, and/or a better angle, but photos of ducks without any interesting scenery around are usually dull, like this one.
Keep taking photos though! You'll only get better.

Heres another one of the ground shots, I don't know if this is any better, but I tried. Also, I don't know what kind of bird that is either, and I've tried searching it too.

Again, no real subject. If there was someone/thing standing or positioned to the left, it would be more interesting but right now it's just a piece of forest.
