Those eyes are amazing.
Fake tilt shift testing, what do you guys think? Overuse of saturation?
Picture taken in Hong Kong.

please never do this, it looks really fake and cheapens the field of tilt-shift
if you want to do tilt-shift but don't want to spend any money, take your kit lens at 55mm, detach it and tilt it while holding one edge against the body, so you get an actual tilted focal plane
if you must fake it in Photoshop, pay close attention to how the focal plane would actually be if it were tilted, it's not just a matter of blurring the top and bottom of the image

Wow, that actually works quite well, or atleast in my benchtests, but I did just get my camera today and still am working on the basics. So my findings my be irrelevant.

Only issue was the location, but it wasn't like we could really move it. The owner of the car drove up, and at the time I was on a photo-walk with Ryzen here. He said "OH DAMN I wish I could get a picture with a car like that", I offered to bug the owner, ryzen said "oh god don't do it he'll think we're gonna mug him", but I asked and the guy was ecstatic to let us use the car. I think he was more OK with it because I looked like I knew what I was doing, carrying my equipment around.
also changed out the licence plate for sake of not getting in trouble and getting a few extra bucks for that "OOOH" factor from Ryz :v:
Ha that's awesome! I didn't noticed the plate was shopped til I read it haha. The light is perfect
Can you give link for your photostream please?

My active photostream is now my business photostream, flic.kr/ROCphotography.
I really want a new camera over my Canon Powershit S2.

If you want something a little better, find whichever one fits your budget here

Cool stuff! I love the second one with its surreal touch.

Yeah, siamese cats are incredibly good looking.

Thanks, Paris is pretty awesome.
Those are not really photos you would expect out of Paris. Don't understand me wrong it's a good thing.
Where were they taken? La Defense?
And btw first one of the two: In my opinion the 4,5 m sign with its red outline destroys the atmosphere a little bit.

Did you photoshop those eyes to make them more blue? It does look like that(eventhough I don't mind, it really looks good)

Yeah La Defense. I agree about the sign but didn't have it in me to get rid of it (it was pretty late a night, I'll probably revisit it later and fix that up).

Yeah. Not by a large amount (his eyes are super blue) but enough to make them stand out more.
Yeah at first I thought that sign was like a watermark or something.

My, I do miss this. I haven't taken my camera out of it's case in a while. I hope it's not getting lonely.
I took all of these myself (using a tripod when needed).

Also, added words for memories.
I hate when people put quotes and 'meaningful phrases' on portraits. kills the whole thing.
But its good. I like the tie + corsage one.

Aye, so do I, but I did it for my girlfriend, so it's all good. :)

Old stuff. I'm so sick of it. I want to go out and shoot new things, but I never have the time.

I ordered my fish-eye lens. It should come in anytime!
Man, I haven't done any photography in such a long time. I really need to get back in to it.
Anyway, does anyone know any good resources for photography so I can get warmed up again and get back in the swing of things.
Also I've been considering getting a 50mm lens for my XSi. But I dunno which one.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens - I was thinking about getting this one, but from my knowledge it is a cheap lens, somewhat decent quality and takes great shots. But it doesn't last that long apparently. I really don't want to get it and have it break and that would total 200USD just for two lenses of the same time if it ever broke.
Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM It costs around 300 dollars, but I was figuring for long term use and re-sell value. I dunno though, would it be worth buying this lens? Anyone have experience with any of them?
Get the 1.8 then start saving for some L!
What Luxury lenses are good? I'll soon be getting the 50mm but need tips for after.
What Luxury lenses are good? I'll soon be getting the 50mm but need tips for after.
All of them are good, pretty much, just choose the right focal length(s) and features for your needs.
They are all extremely well built and are very sharp even at wide open.
The best L is the one you can afford, while still matching your needs (focal length, aperture, IS).
I'm personally after this one. I'd get it with IS, but its just too expensive then.

The 70mm-200mm lenses are always great, if I had as much money as I wanted to spend on this sort of thing, I'd get the IS version of that. Or I'd get this:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/186152-GREY/Canon_2533A002_Telephoto_EF_400mm_f_2_8L.html
lol 400mm f2.8, that's gotta be immensely heavy.
Sort of on topic, is this deal legit? I was absolutely amazed when I saw the price and what was included in the kit.

Not worth it imo. The body itself is 999 and you don't need those all those lenses. Some of the pictures aren't right either (the remote and flash for instance). Also those SD cards probably aren't any good (the speed of the card is much more important than the size). I think you would save in the long run by buying separately and just what you need.
