It helps to be covered in equipment, people will see you as a more professional person than some old dude walking around with a point-and-click taking pictures of kids.
yeah it's always better to look like a professional creep
yeah it's always better to look like a professional creep
Don't worry ma'am, I know what I'm doing :q:
Went through my old city photos from a few months ago, and done a bit of tweaking.
Some pics from this weekends driftevent
What camera and lens were you using for these? Love them all.
A Facepuncher designed the decals on the car in the first three shots. What was his name again?
Ugh, so fuzzy. I can't take night shots for my life. I'm pretty new to taking photos with a dslr, can someone tell me how to make this a better photo in photoshop? Like how to bring out the colors? This one is raw.
Just foolin around. Not me in the picture
A Facepuncher designed the decals on the car in the first three shots. What was his name again?
That would be myself
can someone tell me how to make this a better photo in photoshop?
You can't. This is beyond the help of photoshop. Post processing is like makeup. It can't really change how someone looks, just enhance certain features. If you use too much of it, it becomes unrecognizable. Putting makeup on meth addict will not make her a model. Retake the shot. Low ISO, long exposure. Shoot wide open unless you want to get into bulb mode. The camera needs to be PERFECTLY steady. Think of the moon as the sun, you wont get (in general) good shots if the sun is directly in your frame. If you use bulb mode, stop your lens down to its sharpest aperture (google your lens for a review), and turn the ISO all the way down to 100 (or if you're a lucky bastard with a 5D like the car man above, 50). An exposure around 5 minutes would do the trick. Off topic: 35/365 Went to the mall with a buddy.
an exposure of 5 minutes with the moon in the shot? :raise:
Well I took some night-time photos while we are on the subject Little road, and the big brother by OM-1n, on Flickr 18/365 by OM-1n, on Flickr Reflection of night by OM-1n, on Flickr [editline]11:17AM[/editline] Or late-evening photos, whatever.
one of my new pet cacti
Putting makeup on meth addict will not make her a model.
actually, it does. the models aren't anything that special, good lighting, makeup, and PS make all of the difference [editline]11:22AM[/editline]
Ugh, so fuzzy. I can't take night shots for my life. I'm pretty new to taking photos with a dslr, can someone tell me how to make this a better photo in photoshop? Like how to bring out the colors? This one is raw.
use a tripod, low iso, long shutter time lock up the mirror (or use live-view mode) in photoshop, fill-light up, and exposure down to balance it all out
Went on a session with a Corvette C6 Z06 Ron Fellows Edition today. The owner let me drive it. Let's just say it's fast.

This image is paltry in comparison. But, it was taken on a 2mp iPhone camera, and I just wanted to gauge what kind of effects I can get out of its tiny lens Original: Hell if I know why the hell CloudApp rotated it.

Man, that's a pretty nice photo. Can you link a high-res one I can use as a wallpaper?
Here's something of mine from a few years ago, took this at a friend's cottage.
scrolling down that picture I was all "Ooooh, aahhhhhh, whoaaaa-FUCKING TIME STAMP"
Had the camera for years and never bothered to figure out how to turn that off. Unfortunately, any other photos I have that would meet the criteria for this thread have a similar timestamp. Still, it makes me feel good knowing that the arts mod liked my photo, aside from the timestamp...
heh, it's easily edited out if ya know how, still a bugger in general. I honestly don't know why cameras do that by default anymore, or why they make it so ungodly huge. Still, sunsets like that are awesome, I get them every so often in my area. [img_thumb]http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2484/4059681464_7d27a84bbe_b.jpg[/img_thumb]
My Camera has got to be at least 5 years old, so they may not anymore, Iunno. Another problem is I have no clue how to use photoshop/gimp/PDN/MSPaint, so I won't/can't be doing any editing. And sunsets like that are great photo-ops, they tend to look amazing.
Surprise, i get them too
Ooohh. Digging the colors on that one. HDR?
