Megapixels don't matter, but they act as sort of a buffer for lens quality. If you have a less than tack sharp picture, reducing it's overall size increases the sharpness. The more megapixels you have, the more room you have to play around with that.
Was a really weird weather the other day, so I took a picture of it.
Some photographs I made in the past couple of days: More on my Flickr account.
Shot with an iPhone 4 and edited in the Camera+ app. Click to enlarge: [img_thumb]http://pac.gmod.de/Bilder/Photos/IMG_0527.JPG[/img_thumb] I thought it would look pretty good as a wallpaper, so I made a simple one: [img_thumb]http://pac.gmod.de/Bilder/Wallpaper/glasses.jpg[/img_thumb]
Although usually phone cameras are no good for photography but I think my new phones camera holds it's own against my Canon A620, especially for Panorama's (click to enlarge, I haven't tried anything too creative though): This was my first time using the panorama mode so I didn't keep it perfectly straight in some parts resulting in slight stich marks (it stitches them together automatically) [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/Urbex_panorama.jpg[/img_thumb] Try and find the stitch marks :v: [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/2010-09-06_15-17-26_6961.jpg[/img_thumb] Sour Grapes: [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/2010-09-04_17-13-52_7971.jpg[/img_thumb] Obligatory flower macro: [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/2010-09-04_11-26-59_874.jpg[/img_thumb] Personally I think these are great considering they came out of a phones camera, what do you guys think?
Was testing new camera for first time. Olympus E-450. Still haven't learned about all modes and settings but for first time I think pics are ok: Was standing and not moving. Was affraid of those bees. The flash you can see in the reflections makes it look.. I don't know, fake? Oh yeah and, you need a better subject than flowers, I know it's tempting to shoot flowers.

I actually had a really good flower photo from an old crappy camera I had and I was really impressed. I can't find it though.

re-began 365 again after a week of stoppage (on the other hand, just started 6th form):
Okeeey. I have another photo. I noticed it was raining and thought it would be pretty cool except that it has been done a million times before. I also didn't mess with any settings so Idk what setting it was on, what would have been better for the picture, ect. They are honest in some way, and they look very good most of the time! I was wondering what camera and lenses you are using? And which program are you using for post-processing?
He's using Lightroom. I also think he's using a Nikon D5000.
He's using Lightroom. I also think he's using a Nikon D5000.
I use lightroom, and a Nikon D60 (Looking to upgrade to Nikon D3100) with a 35mm prime lens and if you haven't noticed by now 50% of the time, most of my pictures have a split tone or are black and white

The flower in the last photo looks ok but that's only because of the flower, not because of how the picture is taken.

The next logical step would be D90+, the D3k series is actually one of the worst Nikon ever made.

The d3100 has live view, hd video, better ISO performance and some other features that I can't remember. It just isn't such a huuuuge upgrade. And the nikon d90 is the gayest nikon camera ever

Okay, I wasn't following Nikon that closely lately, I guess I was wrong.

I don't consider myself a photographer of any real kind but I guess it couldn't hurt to share some of the pictures I took at the zoo. It's my favorite place to take pictures just because animals are way funner to take pictures of than anything else to me. Incoming BIG image dummmpp. Sorry I can't img_thumb for some reason, it's not working. I took this photo mabye four years ago, and until I finally get enough money to buy a new camera, it's the most recent I have. Do I have any talent at all? Friends told me I do, but they're not really the best ya know?
