Was that the Airshow at RAF Leuchars?
Awesome textures in the explosion.
I just bought this, am I an idiot or was it a good choice? http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/75471/show.html I just needed a wide angle lens that wouldn't break the bank.
It was indeed.
Awesome :buddy: If I knew there'd be explosions I'd have stayed in Fife just a little bit longer!
You wouldn't believe how blurry shit you can put on the internet and make it look pin-sharp (wink-wink)
wink wink
Tether it to your laptop and use EOS utility? it'll save you a lot of hassle.
yah i need to get my netbook back from my mother, one annoyance about using a tethered laptop is it saves the images to the laptop and rinses the camera battery. also i dont think my 10" eeepc fits in my kata 3n1 which is kinda annoying.
Reposting because it was on the last page of the previous thread. I got this camera a week ago I'm new to photographing.
"Hovedgaden"? Where are you from, exactly? By the way, I really enjoyed the first picture.
I think I did this one pretty well. And another one. Some C&C would be nice.
Very nice, how did you get that effect in the 1st photo? It looks almost post-apocalyptic. Either way, great shots.

[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/GWvtz.jpg[/img_thumb] The stone you see in the background is infact a gravestone.:3: A friend of mine gave me a macro lens today, but whenever i attach it to the camera and click the photo button, it comes up with a pop-up on the little LCD-screen saying: "No lens attached. Shutter is locked." I'm really a noob at this camera thing, since i got my first SLR-camera last week. The camera is a Sony A230, but i have no idea what the macro lens is called, and i don't really know how to find out. I would be really happy, if you guys could tell me whats wrong, and maybe how to fix it.(:

On the left side of your camera there is a small wheel with different functions. (P, S, A and M) You need to switch it to M (manual). From there you need to find your way to perfect exposure and aperture.

Fisheye photography and filming has been done so many times it's not original or good anymore.

That helped me alot!(: By the way, it's really difficult to take a picture with this lens, but that might be because I'm use to the auto-focus, and it's quite dark at the moment.
Not yet, it's saved only to my user area at college. I'll upload it when i'm next there. Here's a couple of snaps from this evening though
Dude, I fucking love this photograph.

Would you guys be interested in a huge thread dedicated to newbie photographers? It would cover all the basic settings like shutter speed, aperture and iso and I would give tips on lots of things. This is more aimed at the beginner photographers but still, you might learn stuff
we should create a website where you can register, upload pictures and others could rate and comment on the pictures. But I guess something like that already exists, it just needs to be easier and used/known to all of us.
I agree. I find myself repeating the advice I give to people quite frequently here. I think a nice big sticky would be great. It would have examples of the mistakes many beginners make, and how to improve upon that. I could help write, if this goes anywhere.
I made a thread for the basics of photography. Like bopie said, i keep giving the same advice so that's why I made that thread, kind of to direct newbies to so they read that before posting
I'm dicking about with my camera. :siren: HUGE IMAGE :siren: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/99596/xzbv%20001.JPG
I think it would be nice with such sticky(: [img_thumb]http://imgur.com/ruDg3[/img_thumb]
