Do you work as a fulltime photographer? I looked at your website and your portraits are badass. I've been struggling to even find a minimum wage job to fund a 5Dii.
Nah it's freetime/hobby. I work as a logistics coordinator at a company that replaces windows on cars :v:

I went for a walk today, and I noticed a very high fence with barbwire on top. I walked along the fence for a good hour, until i found a hole in the said fence, then I entered through the hole, that somebody had made by cutting the fence into pieces, lol. I then proceeded to walk for another hour through some giant blue warehouses. No one was around, but me. I even yelled "hello, is anyone here?" quite a few times. I came across some giant blue crane, alot of trash and a bunch of other cool stuff. Aww right, time to process some RAWs :buddy: [editline]03:29PM[/editline] Yes, this is a cat on a leash, Don't ask. He's a little mischievous bastard. [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7035566/getto.jpg[/img_thumb] Used my computer monitor with Microsoft Paint open and painted a gradient for the lighting. Oh so getto. http://itsrawromg.tumblr.com/
Yes, this is a cat on a leash, Don't ask. He's a little mischievous bastard.
My friend has a crazy cat like that. He takes it for walks, taught it to play fetch, it refuses to not wear a shirt or something all the time so he made it dresses, shirts and a little tophat to wear. Putting my portraiture skills to work on quality material also been toying with my dad's ooooooold film camera, complete with film older than me. End result had a nice semi-vintage feel :buddy: [img_thumb]http://ploader.net/files/aef1b26ef42632decdd4ddfd2ae2f3da.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://ploader.net/files/3019515f71730c110c53a12eb098ebfe.jpg[/img_thumb] obviously same friend from the first picture. I just noticed the difference in color on his shirt, the film really drew in extra color. I love it, I just wish I had more old rolls laying around since I doubt new stuff would give the same effect. Anyone know if there's an easy way to get my hands on some stock of unused film from the 1980's? :v:
Bottom pics won't load.
rehostin' done, look up [editline]1:11[/editline] ah dammit I swear every time I mention "above post" or whatever it does this. retoastin' for new page because I lurve this one- [img_thumb]http://ploader.net/files/aef1b26ef42632decdd4ddfd2ae2f3da.jpg[/img_thumb]
Post processing can recover alot of that "lost color" that is seen as being character of film. Also your friends glasses have a red tint that make him look stoned.
yeah, his prescription glasses are pink. Back in highschool, he was the big, scary kid with spiked collars and black everything... and a little pink backpack. AND HE MADE IT WORK :black101:
some pics from my trip to D.C. a few months ago library of congress

↑ rapes quality severely. You lose size (obviously), and in that process it saves out a new highly compressed JPG, which rapes detail and drops the color quality a few notches. On topic though, pictures were nice. A few were washed out by the sun, but I liked the overall set.

And yes I agree, but there wasn't alot I could do =(
well, for now pick out one or two you really like from the set and upload them to ploader.net so we can see the higher quality stuff :buddy:
Favorites probably, but I really like them all. for taking with a droid, pretty impressive. You'll only improve when you upgrade. My only gripe is the strange side-to-side blur on the first image, feels unnatural to how the lens focuses.
I find that jacking up the luminance about 15% in Lightroom severely reduces grain without quality loss.

[editline]12:21AM[/editline]
I find that jacking up the luminance about 15% in Lightroom severely reduces grain without quality loss.
I'll have to try that out, once I get a new camera it shouldn't be such an issue but I will look into it.

[editline]09:18PM[/editline] So they can do what they like with it.
this is true, read this article HOWEVER, there are additions to that article so keep reading. Facebook's owner says that it isn't for profit, but for sake of dealing with publicly available content on a social network when sharing with others, since there would be no copyright on it at all and other people could potentially steal it without issue.
