I know it's square-shaped but I had to crop it out, the background is actually a couch that is not as tall as the guitar..
It's not a guitar.
It's not a guitar.
What? -if you're saying 'It's a bass', I know, it's mine.
What? -if you're saying 'It's a bass', I know, it's mine.
That was exactly what I planned to write.
Angoose, just a little CC: I'd make the split toning a little more subtle. Also the front paws being out of frame ruined it for me. I know theres not much you can do if you can't take the shot again, but I'd go back and fix the split toning being overdone. It's still a great picture, and I'm sure your friend will like it.
Yeah it's a shame about the paws, he's a mad dog, can't keep him in the same space for more than a second. and as far as the split toning goes, I just mess with the blue path on curves, I can't see the yellow though, i'm slightly colourblind.
I thought color blind meant you had difficulty distinguishing colors apart, but individually you could see them fine? My red-green color blind friend can't tell the difference between either when both are next to each other, but he can distinguish red and green under normal circumstances. In any case, the dog looks slightly lime green. It's as if you took the Sprite colors and gently colored the dog. Maybe work on that. Possibly mask out the dog and apply the effect to the rest of the image. Or just apply it to the whole image but use it sparingly on the dog.
so there is this firetower in my town. i go there a lot. i brought two of my friends and had my try at modeling. any tips? I also found this cool colony of mushrooms in my backyard.
[IMG_thumb]http://i52.tinypic.com/oztoi.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
love it's eyes.
Anyone else noticing an increase in the times flickr greets you like an idiot? I loved the whole other languages thing but this comes up 75% of the time for me
I always read the greeting out of habit, but click on whatever I'm going to before I get a chance to read what language it says it is. Bothers me for about 5 seconds then I move on. 85/365 Running out of creative energy. I hate cold rainy weather and having the flu. I was all excited when I got my new 5D but not being able to play with it properly is killing me.
took some bike pics i'm p proud of today. would post more but most of the usable ones turned out pretty much the same. I wish I had the equipment to do that
Actually isn't that much. Just a big umbrella light in their face. The rest is post-production and a little luck. Some pictures come out a little stale, but there's nothing a little MORE post-production can't fix. This one was blurry, but it totally looks like an outtake from your mom's high school yearbook. I always thought post production was a cinematic term? Lol I love your stuff.
Sorry, I do vid editing as well, guess the term just kind of swaps on me I guess. "Post-processing". Oy, does anyone here have a ring-flash? (lookin' at you, Brian) ...I wonder if it's worth the money, over putting down that chunk o' cash to a better camera, or just a nicer prime lens... or... make a car payment...
if I remember right, Ferosso does multiple exposures (even if it's just one RAW edited), then photomerges using the pen tool to cut out the car via mask.
Yeah that picture is two exposures. Actually the pics are just JPEGS.
will youtube take footage straight from a 550d? probably faster to recompres first anyway as i shot it at 720@60
Hey guys, Here's one I took yesterday:
A few photos that I took last friday night, I'm loving the 580EXII, might consider buying one myself (I am borrowing my schools gear at the moment) by H4Z3Y, on Flickr
will youtube take footage straight from a 550d? probably faster to recompres first anyway as i shot it at 720@60
I recommend to run it through an editing program like Avid Media Composer first. It will reduce the upload time by some bit and you'll have the chance to make minor adjustments to your video

The only decent photo I've ever taken really: Took it a couple of years back but haven't got the original any more so the quality's gone down a bit since facebook does that. Took it with a Canon IXUS or something. I really wish I could afford a nice DSLR or something :(
Really digging the shots evilking. If there is anything I have to complain about it's that blue bit in the second image (the bit in the trees). It's distracting.
it's artistic and u don't understand it!!!!111 [editline]20th October 2010[/editline] well it's a bit distracting after a second look Communications by OM-1n, on Flickr Visitors Welcome by OM-1n, on Flickr well i'll put these too so this post isn't a total waste
What lens do you have?
I use Canon 24-105 4L and 14mm 2.8 Samyang 99.9% of the time I take pictures. but these days good photoshop can make any halfway-decent kit lens (even though mine is the "kit" lens lol) look better than amazing lens with bad photoshop unless looked at 100% Peekaboo by OM-1n, on Flickr
