^^Very neat indeed! The colors are very surreal; it gives a kind of dream like atmosphere to the image. I took a short trip yesterday up to the local dam (Norris Dam) and seized the opportunity to grab some pics on such a beautiful day: [img_thumb]http://i54.tinypic.com/2u4rev9.jpg[/img_thumb] I'll upload more tomorrow....
i love this

@Edthefirst: Thanks, and I agree. I don't have Photoshop, but wouldn't a gradient filter in Gimp work for the washed out sky? @Toxicpiano: Thanks man! Here are two more that I took the same day going to the dam. These are a little more experimental....the first two were taken in a car wash with a macro lens...lol:

Amazing shot! The colours, the composition and the lighting is perfect!
Pinhole camera?
No, just the kit lens on my D80; it was just incredibly foggy that night. Pretty much straight off the camera - apart from a couple of level adjustments.
[img_thumb]http://i54.tinypic.com/jkunpg.jpg[/img_thumb]
I like.
Yo linux I've noticed you've been posting here recently. Got anything to show us? 99/365 Took about 300 shots today before I burned out and just went with this. There are a couple self portraits after the jump.
I always hate mirror shots, no one ever flips the shot back so things read right. Still a cool shot though

Can't see it? http://a.yfrog.com/img18/913/6pam.jpg
get a real camera
no one ever flips the shot
I actually did try flipping it, I didn't like the way it 'felt'. I usually do, though. You can actually pull some good shots off an iPhone if you put some effort in.
get a real camera
Don't force like that. I don't have the money. Took this last year
Today I found a Hermmer.
I've noticed I have become increasingly more interested in video, possibly because it's almost the only thing I do at college. We recently shot a promo movie for a school and a short docu for a grafiti-artist and it is just so much fun.
I'm feeling that, i want to get a nikon D3100 purely so i can start experimenting with video.
It's really a lot of fun. Especially when you need to take it bigger up like setting lights, composing a shot, directing actors and thinking about shots. Talking about it makes me feel tingly inside rrrrrrr
Don't force like that. I don't have the money. [editline]3rd November 2010[/editline] Wowow
even a $50 camera is better than that iphone noise generator

Phone cameras are absolute shit if there's not enough light
Took this not too long ago when I was volunteering for the Kent Wildlife Trust doing some coppicing.
:colbert:
http://hipstamaticapp.com/ EVERYTHING has crappy split tones, oversaturation, polaroid borders, crackles, zoom blur, etc. though I admit, it's probably the one instance in which the generic "HEY I TOOK A PICTURE OF MY DOG AT MY FEET" actually kept my attention for more than a few seconds.
You have a pug?
I think he was using that as an example to make a point. I know in my head that if I keep at it I'll be able to improve and what not, and I've already made a commitment to photography, but I feel like deep down I just don't 'get it' like Latir or Daijitsu seem to. I'm actually feeling this about my whole lifestyle, but it's hit photo stuff the hardest. I'm absolutely in love with photography and would hate to give it up. I wonder if I'm expecting too much of myself. Maybe I should take a break? I don't know, I'm just feeling incompetent. I usually lose a lot of enthusiasm in the colder months so I'm just gunna chalk it up to that.
Take a vacation and relax. I'm sure it'll help. Experience new things and meet new people. Might get your creative juices working.
