Yes, compared the EXIF with raw data from a 500D photo I took so yes, that is not a render.

Actually, I don't. I was at this studio, with my class, and some teacher told me to go around, and get a few shots of everyone, so he could add them to the school's site. So I didn't have time to tell him how to sit, I just came by and he sat like that.

Took this picture on my crappy little point and shoot this past summer at a deadmau5 show in DC. It was the one that he passed out at due to exhaustion.

I liked the look of the :cthulhu: tentacles.

It probably doesn't help that he chain smokes and tours without any real exercise.

The chain smoking also does wonders for his teeth:

That's a fairly old picture. He got his teeth ground down and crowns put in. Doesn't smoke as often either.

Don't ask how I know that.

But yeah, he has a ridiculous tour schedule. He's on a break now, going back to the UK tomorrow if I remember correctly. The new album (4x4=12) drops next tuesday, too.

I'm kind of a cult follower of his. Its cool how he interacts with his fanbase even though its very large.

I used to be into deadmau5, about 4 years ago. At that same time, there was this kid that kept telling people at school I was a poser. The other day the same kid commented on a facebook status that was asking who deadmau5 was and he said, "he's really good [i]dubstep[/i]." I commented, "I guess we're referring to all electronic music as dubstep now, because its so hip." A bunch of people joined in cussing him out and he never replied.

I don't think it's the smoking. I just think he's not that good at brushing his teeth. You can see there's some sort of yellowish coating on his teeth, and it gets thicker at the start of his teeth.

White Balance:

That should give you a starting point. That's about all I do in post, sometimes I fiddle with the exposure/brightness. You have to play with the tone values to fit the feel of your image.

Just as a reminder for everyone else who's going to try his split advice, splitting pictures is fun, but looks boring and sometimes unprofessional, even inartistic if [i]everything[/i] you have is done the same, much like turning everything b/w or faking a vignette.
