Pokemon could be amazing, but Nintendo knows they don't need to try. If I could make one change to the series, it would be to nerf how much of a bonus super effective is. It just gets silly how as soon as you let a pokemon get hit with a super effective attack, it's an insta kill or near insta kill. Also what would be fun is remember the pokemon stadium gamemode of the challenge cup? An online gamemode like that so it becomes less about grind and more about strategy.

Make it more like mortal kombat and it would be amazing.

Needs to be more... "Sandboxy" I have only played up until Emerald so far, but each game has a character which asks you "Would you like to join Evil Group here?" Why cant we have the choice of doing that? Would add a fresh perspective to the games.

The original pokemon adventures manga, the one with Red, based off the game was pretty decent. In that not everyone was a retarded 12 year old and the protagonist could actually do something. The elite four were evil and tried to recruit Red to rule the world. Team Rocket was also not useless comic junk. It seems that when it failed to capture older minds, they switched to the new arcs with ash who sucks. Only pokemon games that are decent are the original 2, the remakes and emerald. The new ones are just plain boring.
