Thank you! I'll take your advice to heart. I'll try to edit out the borders from now on, and will reduce the tone filters on them.
I mean, the split toning is nice - just try and do it yourself from the original image.

This is much clearer than usual when I take a picture.

Both taken sort of spur-of-the-moment on the Toronto lakefront with my iPhone 3GS. Because I don't know how to edit them, nor have a program to edit them with, they probably don't look as good as they could with some "touching-up" and have a bit of a grainy look to them IMO. I took about 10 shots of this cloud front moving over the sun, and these were, IMO, the best 2.
This is more of a "let's figure out to do this" sort of photo, but I think it turned out pretty neat. It's a 360 panorama shot of room, using an iPhone 4. Some parts got kinda messed up, such as the computer. I can tell I'm going to have fun with this in the future.
Since it's a fairly large image, here is a link to see the original file.

I've taken some huge panorama shots using my iPhone 4. One of them rings in at over 8,000 pixels wide. They are viewable on my DeviantART account: http://grumbles106.deviantart.com/
Here is a scaled sample of one of the photos.

edit: I've uploaded a few more. I won't stretch the page any more though by posting them here :)

There I used some old camera lens which somehow let me take very close macros.

I posted a few of my photos on reddit that I took from a recent trip, and they got pretty mediocre reviews (I ended up taking them down).
What is your opinion Facepunch? Is there some talent here?

(The images have been drastically reduced in size. The originals are huge. I've uploaded all the photos onto my deviantart page)

a) get rid of the borders, they look silly
b) your photos are alright / mediocre, certainly nothing extraordinary
c) the people on reddit are dead honest, it is the kind of place you go after everyone on a forum like facepunch just says "great shot, I love your work, you are amazing!!", it really helps put you in perspective. I have done a few reddit posts to r/photocritique and I have recieved far more useful feedback (generally) than what I have received here, purely because of the honesty.

Colours in the second one is really nice, also good perspective.
Some I took yesterday while waiting for film to be developed:

I'm thinking about buying a Nikon D5100. It seems like a fairly decent camera for the price, plus the fact that it can do video is pretty important. Any opinions on this camera?
~PUI~
D5100 is a good camera
It's the bigger brother to the D3100 as far as I know. I own a D3100 and it's an excellent camera, I'd assume the same for the D5100.

Took this pic of a passing Canadian Pacific train with my iPhone on my way to work today. An interesting opportunity, as I don't normally bike to work, nor are there usually trains coming from there when I pass over the tracks.

Would have been great if you got rid of the railing at the bottom and perhaps took it at a better angle.
Took these 2 fall of last year and never got around to uploading them till now.

The horrible grain (among a number of other things) ruins them completely, dam iPhone.

I actually would have loved if I could have gotten the "Canadian Pacific" on the train in the shot just as it was passing, but I couldn't get my phone out in time. Also, by better angle do you mean more directed towards the train or alongside the train?

Went to a recycling station to throw away an old fridge, found a HUGE hopper full of this waste aluminum.

also, instagram. cry me a river.
You should get rid of the borders. Otherwise they're great!

I disagree, I think they add depth to the pictures. The second one would be a bit dull without it, in an odd way.
This section is great for inspiration and I love looking at photography.
These are few images I took with my iPod Touch.

Love the third one SuckerPunch. The big problem with the iCameras is they take very grainy photos a lot, it irritates me. Also, that picture of the dome could have done without the reflection off your car window in the shot.
Is that up the Washington Monument, DOG?
