Just as an aside. I don't know, I'm not a fan of moshing nor hardcore dancing. Or any dancing at all, really (other than dancing around the point in a paper with words :smug:). I personally believe that moshing is a bit excessive, and to the people who think "oh well if you don't mosh then you don't really like the band / you're not a real metalhead / you're a pussy / you're a poser," well, I'll be the first to admit that I'm a pussy when it comes to events that could result in me getting hurt - but that's irrelevant. I personally think that if you can headbang to the music, and you actually go to the shows, that's evidence enough you like and enjoy the band. That being said, I find people who listen to the grooviest god-damn riff/kick-drum combinations ever and can manage to keep their heads completely still sick and wrong. It's just disgusting. :barf:
I don't care if people mosh or not, doing it doesn't make you cool or hardcore, I just do it because it's fun as fuck to do flips and spinning kicks and shit to the rhythm of the music and just go apeshit. It really feels good, but there are consequences to good fun

Everyone to their own, and I don't judge people based on how they choose to enjoy the music - as long as they aren't ruining the fun for anybody else, which, in my opinion, is what hardcore dancers do.
Just stay the fuck away from them, I do. I just hate scene faggots Goddamn I hate them and their shitty cliche of being "unique and different" [editline]09:39PM[/editline] Dressing and acting a certain way doesn't make you unique, it makes you part of a faceless entity.

I always think of them as people with straight black hair and converse and tight skinny jeans or whatever.
that's who they are, or anyone that defends attack attack
What exactly are scene people? I always think of them as people with straight black hair and converse and tight skinny jeans or whatever.
Scene is a really loose term because true scene kids don't really exist, and when they do, you'll notice. skinny jeans, straight black hair, converse, that doesn't mean scene, emo, or anything. It's a fucking stupid stereotype.
What exactly are scene people? I mean, hell I love converse and black is my favourite colour but I don't hang out with scene kids for christ sakes. But the difference is, I actually like different colours which I wear half of the time. Also tight clothes suck [editline]04:09PM[/editline]
Scene is a really loose term because true scene kids don't really exist, and when they do, you'll notice. skinny jeans, straight black hair, converse, that doesn't mean scene, emo, or anything. You are so incredibly dumb. Scene is not "all black" you stupid fuck, scene kids typically wear tons of colourful as fuck, shitty looking clothes, have ridiculous hair that sometimes looks good, but generally looks fucking stupid. I don't mean to get riled up, but ignorance and stupidity like this is stupid, you don't even know what you hate, and you don't even understand the stupidity of hating everyone in a group without any knowledge of anyone in that group. Oh, and tight clothes are fine, what? Too fat to wear them? Most metalheads i've seen at concerts around here, have been wearing skinny jeans. and yes, they were metalheads, not fucking scenefags or emo's or anything else you might want to slam anyone for wearing "skinnies" so, fuck off.
Fair enough I know these people, and I am friends with some of the least faggy of them. So don't assume I don't know what I'm saying, because I do. I have seen these people at shows with them, unfortunately hung out in groups of them at times. I understand what I'm saying. I've been to shows, gone to shows with them, drank with them, smoked with them. I know who they are and what they do. Sorry I'm not so godly like you who seems to be lord of this cliche. Tight clothing, is for girls. I don't care what anyone says. [editline]04:46PM[/editline] So yes, I have "knowledge" of this group. I know which ones I like, and which ones I don't If you dress like one of them, chances are you probably are one of them. That's like someone dressing up as a punk but not being one

No. Assume all you want, but no, I've never been scene, but I have friends who are. If all people are is their clothing, then the world really is empty. And I don't care what you say, people can wear what they want, I guess all the metalheads I've seen at concerts are girls as far as you're concerned, but whatever.
I think what we're all trying to get to here is that the clothing doesn't make the scenefag, nor does the musical taste. What makes the scenefag is his/her need to be viewed as different and edgy by the people around him, and to be accepted into the small group of people that is the scene culture.
To me they're all effectively people who try to be br00tal and xXHarDCorEXx Fuckin hardcore kiddies.
What, so if you see someone with straight black hair and tight jeans, you instantly think, "fuggin' scene kids stealin' mah culture", without actually knowing anything about them? Cuz that's a pretty skewed picture of reality.
No, when they start hardcore dancing at gigs and almost tear your eye out with their dread's, that's when I think "fucking hardcore kids" And no I don't look at someone and instantly judge them, cause I wouldn't like that myself, and they used to hang around with me in school, drew them towards me like flies to shit.

ITT RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE caps
ITT RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE caps
Except for hardcore dancers.
Hardcore's got some p good music tbh
I really don't get the difference between hardcore and metalcore. I mean, modern hardcore is just that, hardcore with metal influenses
Metallic hardcore sounds better than metalcore :v: Although it's technically still the same, the sound has changed.
Metallic hardcore sounds better than metalcore :v: Although it's technically still the same, the sound has changed.
Example of metallic hardcore?
Example of metallic hardcore?
The way I understand it, that would be stuff like Parkway Drive and Chimaira

That's just thrash to me, with more punkish vocals.
Well yeah, it's hardcore punk with metal instrumentals, really.
So it's like early thrash...
I don't know :psyduck:
So it's like early thrash...
That's what I've been saying!
