If it's staged, then it's a quality spot of humor that I deeply enjoyed.
Personally, I enjoy an element of honesty when it comes to any form of humor. if it is raw live footage of hilarious awkwardness, I prefer it to be genuine. If it is wonderful improv comedy, I prefer it to be genuine as well.
So is this actually staged or what
reminds me of jackie gleason
i like that he got eliminated even though it wasnt even blue team up for elimination.
Gordon Ramsey's golden word - donkey.
I think Hell's Kitchen for the most part is a real contest and all that shit, but during the first few shows of every season I think there's always a plant that's just there for ratings and drama. At least the people who win Hell's Kitchen actually work for Ramsay, at least for a short time
Gordon must have the hardest last name ever, because people always spell it wrong. * Ramsy * Ramasay * Ramsey etc...
He's a plant put there to mix things up, it's obvious but pretty funny nonetheless.
So the guy "Raj" is obviously an actor used to make things funnier. Do you think Gordon knows about the fake contestants?

I was kinda believing it until he grabbed food from the plates and started to eat it. MASSIVE STAGE.
Gonna show this to my chef. [editline]12th July 2012[/editline]

I remember I jerked off to bonnie
The Head Chef at the hotel I work at used to for in his London restaurant Ramsey. There's a rumour that the reason he started his own restaurant in the hotel was because Ramsey made him cry :v:

Almost 40 years in the kitchen and he's 48? What?

We never found out what illness he had..
We never found out what illness he had..
Chronic retardation.

He's dead. Died 3 years after this season aired due to diabetes related complications. Most likely wasn't staged.
He's dead. Died 3 years after this season aired due to diabetes related complications. Most likely wasn't staged.
yep when he fainted it was most likely because his blood sugar level was too high/low. it's sad, he seemed like a really nice guy.
yep when he fainted it was most likely because his blood sugar level was too high/low. it's sad, he seemed like a really nice guy.
And a decent chef if the clips were anything to look at.
And a decent chef if the clips were anything to look at.
He was a good chef based on pictures and clips. Ramsey even said it was good even if it was a lot of food.

They made so many insulting fat jokes towards him that it hurt my feelings. They should chill the fuck out.
I've never seen cooking be such serious business
After all his fucking up, him still having the job makes me think all of it is staged.
first few minutes started off with a friendly rating.....boy did that not take long for me to change my mind
First few seconds it became immediately obvious he had some sort of mental condition and was unfit for what he was doing. Assuming he wasn't an actor, I think its pretty cruel for the directors to have picked him and then continue to keep him along as a punching bag. Again, even though it is generally fake, because I doubt a group of 30 year olds would gang up on some 50 year old with a blatantly obvious condition, its still entertainment of poor taste. Then again chubby wasn't the only one there with a mental condition. See: Gordan Ramsey under bipolar disorder. Sometimes I wonder if Ramsey became a great chef by yelling at his food to cook itself.
