Isnt it allways been active? Just people havent payed attention to it untill now? Or do we have some people who listen to it during their hours awake here or somewhere else?
yes, actually. i meant to imply that it's extremely active compared to the usual. i just finished reading all the pages and it seems much has been happening for the past several hours. right now i hear a constant buzzing sound with light taps in the background, instead of the usual periodical horn sound. [editline]11:11PM[/editline] buzzing either stopped or became very very quiet. lots of static. soft high pitch sound in the background
Your favourite horn is back people.
normal periodic horn sound resumed, however very quiet and heavy static present. it keeps going away and coming back, this is strange. someone has got to be messing with us
Holy SHIT.
I will quote this post at the end of this fiasco, and by doing so predict that it is nothing with super soviet shit.
Now it's only static?
The buzzing has stopped. Only static.
All I hear is very faint buzzing.
Changed to USB. I can hear it. [editline]07:47PM[/editline] [b] YOU BROKE MY AUTOMERGE![/b] [editline]07:48PM[/editline] The buzzing is quiet, and it's slowly becoming louder. [editline]07:48PM[/editline] Then softer. Then louder, repeating.
Dammit, early September? Why couldn't they wait until AFTER Halo: Reach comes out? Why can't the apocalypse happen at a time that's convenient for [I]me?[\I]
I head a clip sound, the buzzing stopped. Then I heard a faint yell. :ohdear: [editline]07:52PM[/editline] The buzzing has started again. [editline]07:52PM[/editline] Perhaps this is a haunted radio station? :v:
There it is again, :f5:
I hear wind blowing, or a constant whistle.
And it's gone
[QUOTE=Chezburger;24310567]There it is again, :f5:[/QUOTE] What again? :saddowns: [editline]07:56PM[/editline] [QUOTE=Chezburger;24310571]And it's gone[/QUOTE] What's gone? :ohdear:
The signal. I haven't heard any talking, morse or something though.
I have connection, didn't drop out. The buzzing seems to stop and go and the whistle continues.
[QUOTE=Swebonny;24309136]Amazing that you guys are getting to worked up about something that's been explained. Just look at page 2, read my post.[/QUOTE] No dude, it's government aliens, trust me.
Look at this thread last night and decide nothing is going to happen. Wake up this morning and find out I missed it all kicking off. FUCK [editline]11:01AM[/editline] And that buzzing is very weak compared to what it sounded like last night.
Nothing but static for me. Edit, USB Feed is workign though.
Perhaps the buzz is a countdown. [editline]08:05PM[/editline] My media player said it was a temporary repeater. It's just repeating over and over.
repeater in radio language means, picking up the signal from a transmitter, and transmitting it further. [editline]10:07AM[/editline] Fuck...beeps [editline]10:08AM[/editline] Morse? [editline]10:08AM[/editline] UVB-76 is coming back
[img]http://gyazo.com/a240304909ffe21316b62e44796d868d.png[/img] ...:what:
In all seriousness though, after some research, it seems that this is most likely a way to communicate with spies, intelligence operatives, or other covert agents. I don't think it's linked to a dead hand system.
Broke my automerge. [editline]10:13AM[/editline] Dear god it's happening AGAIN.
This is a quote from that website a few weeks ago: [quote]Sunday, July 25, 2010 Morse on UVB-76 The signal of the UVB-76 is really crowded with morse code tonight. Looking at the spectrum of the WinradHD screen, it looks like the morse is having its own carrier frequency on 4627.350kHz, so it is likely, that the morse is coming from another source. Go figure .. [/quote] I reckon its just this happening again.
[QUOTE=Anthophobian;24310709]Broke my automerge. [editline]10:13AM[/editline] Dear god it's happening AGAIN.[/QUOTE] What's happening? Just tuned in. [editline]08:17PM[/editline] Missed it by 3 minutes. :saddowns:
I can't seem to open the file. VLC won't connect to the stream. What do I do? [quote]VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://akudama1.mine.nu:8000/'. Check the log for details.[/quote] The log basically says http connect failed.
Use Windows Media Player.
