Yeah, so? 8, then. Anyways, I just heard tapping, like on the mic tapping.
FUCK. Voices, I literally am freaking out.
I can speak Russian and the real "talking" transmission is just a guy listing random numbers and names. Probably as someone said before, a coded message to a spy. He also repeats the name of the station numerous times.
The names he's saying are phonetics. Arrange the first letter of each name in sequence, along with the digits (the actual numbers, not the first letter of their names), and see what it spells out.
Odd, at first I thought someone was whistling a tune among the beeping.
Beeping is almost gone now. All i hear is static.
there's some really faint talking in the background. fucking nightmare fuel.
FUCK. Voices, I literally am freaking out.
I just hear static, bro. Is there a way to combine videos and then look at the spectrograph? (right word?) And does this station always beep? Because it's not anymore.
Still, though. A radio station that has only talked 5 times in the last 28 years or so.
Why would the government pass itself coded messages, when it can just use the phone and notify whoever they need to of what to do, such as launch the nukes, as you all seem to be worried about. There's NO reason for Russia to launch nukes, they would be killing the entire world if that happened. Spies use different ways of getting messages every time, so their mission cannot be disclosed, the station is likely one of those methods. Next time the spy will use a different station.
Reposting from the last page
Voice messages from UVB-76 are very rare. Three or four such messages have been intercepted in over twenty years of observation: * At 21:58 GMT on December 24, 1997, the buzzing abruptly stopped to be replaced by a short series of beeps, and a male voice speaking Russian announced: "Ya — UVB-76. 18008. BROMAL: Boris, Roman, Olga, Mikhail, Anna, Larisa. 742, 799, 14."[7] The same message was repeated several times before the beep sequence repeated and the buzzer resumed. * A similar voice message was broadcast on September 12, 2002, but with extreme distortion (possibly as a result of the source being too close to the microphone head) that rendered comprehension very difficult. This second voice broadcast has been partially translated as "UVB-76, UVB-76. 62691 Izafet 3693 8270." * A third voice message was broadcast on February 21, 2006 at 7:57 GMT. (recording of the third voice transmission) Again, the speaking voice was highly distorted, but the message's content translates as: "75-59-75-59. 39-52-53-58. 5-5-2-5. Konstantin-1-9-0-9-0-8-9-8-Tatiana-Oksana-Anna-Elena-Pavel-Schuka. Konstantin 8-4. 9-7-5-5-9-Tatiana. Anna Larisa Uliyana-9-4-1-4-3-4-8."[8] These names are found in some Russian spelling alphabets, similar to the NATO phonetic alphabet.[9] * On August 20, 2010 at 12:11 AM CST, a garbled Russian voice was detected by amateur listeners. It made a short message with little interference and then repeated itself with noticeably more static. This followed recent activity on the station that included more static than usual and several instances of objects being moved/dropped. All of this was detected by amateur listeners and is unconfirmed at the moment. * On August 23, 2010 at 9:35 AM PST, a Russian voice was detected on UVB-76. The voice read out a single, short transmission several times before the line went dead, then returned to its normal broadcast. As the message was transmitted on upper side-band, reception with ordinary AM receivers was weak and distorted. The following recoridng was made at UVB-76 Internet Repeater in USB Mode (Recording of the voice transmission on 4.625MHz USB 4.5kHz bandwidth) * On August 24, 2010 at approximately 12:00 AM EST, a heavily distorted voice was heard by amateur listeners. Unconfirmed. * On August 24, 2010 at 9:25 AM EST, another heavily distorted voice was detected by several amateur listeners. Unconfirmed. * On August 24, 2010 at 12:43 PM CST, Hard to hear voices were heard over the transmission. Unconfirmed.
The last submissions on wikipedia need to be edited.
The last submissions on wikipedia need to be edited.
Need to be confirmed as well. its all very recent.
Apparently I missed a lot as I was sleeping. Anyways, the horn is really quiet, but I hear what sounds like to be a woman talking to someone else.
3 times in the last 5 minutes I've heard 5-10 seconds of voices. I literally cannot believe I can hear this. EDIT: I'm using the justin.tv stream, it's crystal-clear.
I should probably go someone like the lmao pics thread, I don't want to freak out too bad Too late
it sounds like somebody was just about to talk....
there's some really faint talking in the background. fucking nightmare fuel.
Stop freaking out about this, there's probably a couple of Russian guys straight out of college sitting there with their new intel officer occupations chatting because they have nothing better to do.
The USSR sleeper agents in the Eastern European countries will now awaken and usher forward a new age of glorious Communism in Russia and its allies. :tinfoil:
Why do I get paranoid so fast :tinfoil: edit: Fast thread, shame about the automerge murder
all I hear is static :tinfoil:
August 24, The day shit went down.
has there been any time when the static changed to silence OMG, what was that? [editline]09:36PM[/editline] sorry for double post, but breathing on mic, maybe...
Hasn't anyone ever gone there in 15 years just to see whats this shit all about?
so 22 pages and what have we accomplished?
nothing that matters
i just heard a voice... (for about 1 sec)
It's literally dead. There's only a really small bit of static now.
through the static mind you...
More static, and then the same as before.
Hasn't anyone ever gone there in 15 years just to see whats this shit all about?
Look at it's co-ord's on Google Maps, it looks like a tiny military installation. Little does anyone know there is an identical building East of UVB-76. Check out the area on Google Maps, it's cool.
More static, and then the same as before.
I can still hear the beeping trough the static. [editline]09:40PM[/editline] Also check out this: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/30934808
It's still buzzing, with some high pitched tone going through it.
