Oh no pirates.
It's sending morse codes atm.
It isn't sending Morse Code. What is sending Morse Code are the stations above the Buzzer frequency (4625 Khz). The high pitched morse that sends a time code every minute is on 4628 Khz. The low-pitched morse with the call signs beginning with R is on 4627 khz. The Morse Code should be correctly listened to on CW mode. The signal and frequency can then be measured and heard correctly. The reason why you hear the Morse on the Internet receiver is because it it set on USB or AM. Any signal near to 4625 Khz is going to be heard. Last night was particularly busy with other radio signals off frequency being audible. There were teleprinters and other data signals all audible. What people have to understand is that the HF band is very busy with all different types of stations present. TJ
THE WORLD IS GONNA END I TELL Y'ALL
that is kinda sorta possible though, at many developed housing communties where pilots live, there is a gate in front of the community's private runway. This gate is opened when the pilot tunes to the gates radio frequency and hits the transmit button a certain number of times. this is read by a modulator and then in turn opens the gate. A similar device could launch a missile unfortunately. No i did not get this info off the interwebz, i flew with a friend of mine who lives in such a community in Port St. richey (I think thats what the city is called)

Apocalypse time! Wooooooo. edit: Wait, why would a military use something as simple as a radio station to broadcast "secret" information?
Apocalypse time! Wooooooo. edit: Wait, why would a military use something as simple as a radio station to broadcast "secret" information?
Because no one would ever suspect them to use something so simple and public :ohdear:
That's the equivalent of using a megaphone in a city centre because "nobody would think it's so secret"
well you can't encrypt a megaphone that well
well you can't encrypt a megaphone that well
True...
Wow, this thread used to constantly have posts. :v:
That's the equivalent of using a megaphone in a city centre because "nobody would think it's so secret"
Except what you're megaphone-ing is in an encrypted language only you and the recipient know.
if it was a deadhand system, it'd be heavily protected, because anyone could go in there and initiate it.
