Interesting, the station is probably some sort of secret Russian military communication deal. The Soviet Union covered up all unsuccessful cosmonauts so there's a good chance it is true.
Just think. A cousin, an aunt, a mother, a sister, a father, an uncle, or any other family member, working for the military in the 60's. The military tells you they were AWOL, or went missing, or something. How would you ever know? It's not like they would actually tell you.
I did hear a metallic noise like something falling over. I thought it was my dad. Maybe not.
I'll bet if it is used for communication that the volume has a lot to do with message encryption... But with this much "publicity" on it do you really think this would be used for "secret" military shit? It's probably something research related.
Maybe. Maybe not. I bet people who live in the area of it know a bit more about it. I bet a few may have even gotten near it, like the photographer who took the picture up the road.
VLC Media Player -> This Radio Stream -> Audio -> Visualizations -> Goom :byodood:
I see UVB-76 in it.:gonk: EDIT: its the title never mind, newfag to all this here
It's most likely some form of over the horizon radio transmitter, possibly a leftover from the cold war missile detection systems.
Well it has to currently serve some purpose, they wouldn't keep it going since 1987 if it had no purpose. Also Cold War was generously before 1987. So I doubt it.
I did hear a metallic noise like something falling over. I thought it was my dad. Maybe not.
yeah yeah yeah That's a word I can use. Metallic. It was higher quality than the general broadcast though.
Hearing something like switches every once in a while.
I see UVB-76 in it.:gonk:
Serious?
yeah yeah yeah That's a word I can use. Metallic. It was higher quality than the general broadcast though.
That's why I thought it was my dad, because he came out of his room to take a piss. /shits pants.
Crackly Static

The transmissions themselves obviously can, but the signal itself can't.
Broke my automerge! :gonk:
Yep, I'm hearing it too, ColdWave. It might be static bursts though! [editline]01:40AM[/editline] Fresh broke my automerge. -.-
Hearing something like switches every once in a while.
Yep. I said that 2 pages back I think.
Serious?
oh wait it displays that whenever I click on gloom, like when it resets or something like that
I see UVB-76 in it.:gonk:
cause it's the title
-automerge -
i wonder if there is another signal in the static [editline]05:43PM[/editline] the traditional uvb-76 sound is probly just a cover
It starts low, then gets louder?

So do the volume changes and slight tonal differences mean anything or am I insane?
My feed died.
They might do. They might not. We might never know. [editline]01:45AM[/editline] Fuckin ninja.
Turn your volume way up and ignore the odd honking noise and you can hear an engine ( or possibly just static ).
The Soviet Union did things like that.
Yeah yeah, I know that man. It's terrible really.
I mean the message, the difference in the volume of the message transmitted could mean something different for decryption.
I was thinking the same thing.
Don't forget the FBI found Russian spies living in New York state a few months ago...
The alleged agents were directed to gather information on nuclear weapons, American policy toward Iran, C.I.A. leadership, Congressional politics and many other topics, prosecutors say.
If you refresh this page at the right time, my avatar syncs up with the honking.
