The surgery is a piece of cake and the only thing that hurts is the injections.
I'm doing home-made surgery. Pretty much this: Get some hot water in let's say a bucket. Get a few big spoons of salt. Mix it. Then soak the toe *or foot for it is easier that way* for about 15 minutes then home-made surgery. Hurts like a bitch on the last part though :v:
I had one on the inside end of each of my big toes. I just took a fingernail clipper with one of those nail filers, dug under it, twisted it until it was above the skin, cut it at the end of the nail, and pulled it back. It didn't really hurt at all, took me 5 minutes. A bunch of pus came out, though.
Do you know how much it cost?
Well I live in the UK so it was free yet I probably caught MRSA because NHS
you've obviously never had it where it's infected and hurts. because if you even TOUCH your toe it hurts like hell. no less digging inside and twisting.
It did hurt like a bitch before I did it. When I ran in gym my sock was bloody within a few seconds. I just manned up and did it, and I guess I got lucky and managed to hit a numb spot.
bawww. shitty american health care.. probably 200$ for a 5 minute job.
Haha you guy's, I bite my nails including my toe nails, whenever I get an ingrown nail I rip it out with my teeth, I'm so used to toe and finger pain I don't even flinch no matter what happens to them.

And if you did, there's no way it's good for your teeth.
There's no way that you could do that if it actually would have needed some form of surgery. And if you did, there's no way it's good for your teeth.
Only as bad for your teeth as biting your nails is.
just found out i have one on my toe and it doesn't hurt yet. ripping this fucker out. any tips?
just found out i have one on my toe and it doesn't hurt yet. ripping this fucker out. any tips?
Anything that works, I would tell you to bite it out but some people can't get their feet to their mouth, when ripping it out make sure the base of the nail get's loose first or you will pull a chunk of flesh out with you.
Only as bad for your teeth as biting your nails is.
Except this is sandwiched between skin and at an angle.
just found out i have one on my toe and it doesn't hurt yet. ripping this fucker out. any tips?
Take two small nail clippers, one with a filer thing, dig the filer under it and rotate it until you can grab it with the other clipper. Then just rip it off.
I had it done, without any form of pain killers :derp: it was quite painful and I had to have it done 2-3 visits before it was complete finished. Do NOT want to have that pain again.
Except this is sandwiched between skin and at an angle. .
I've been doing this since I've been alive, I'm a professional it's not hard for me.

No problem, it's worked for me each time
You can shower with it, but the Doctor will recommend something like putting a plastic bag around your entire feet and making sure no moisture gets in. It might take about six months for the nail to get back properly, but depending on the severity, you might want to make sure you've got a decent amount of painkillers - we're talking something like 20 here. I went through that in a space of two weeks and I didn't feel shit, but I needed it because what I was was severely swollen.
I've never had an infection on any of my toe's or fingers, from what I can tell it's very easy to get one, will someone inform me of my situation or why this hasn't occurred to me?
So Ive had this ingrown toenail for about a year now, and I'm finally getting it taken care of. Regarding recovery of my toe, anything that i should know? Should i shower with it inside the shower? Is it okay to have sex while recovering? How painful is recovery? Sorry how is this dumb? This is my first experience with an ingrown, sorry for bein a nub with ingrowns!
I had the same problem and the recovering was pretty easy. I didn't need any painkillers and the toe wasn't sore almost at all. You should be okay. But I don't know about having sex during recovery... :raise:
i love toenail surgery, it's such a relief, they snip down the nail then pull it out, it's like OOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH [editline]11:44AM[/editline]
fuck that, as soon as i saw the scalpel or whatever tool they were using go into the toe, i stopped the video.
pussyyy
i love toenail surgery, it's such a relief, they snip down the nail then pull it out, it's like OOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Yeah, I had had the nail problem for 1,5 years and it was almost an orgasm when the doctor fixed it. FUCK YYYYEEEEAAAHHH!!
i had it done, dont panic about it i had it done on two of my big toes, yes you can have a shower but be sure to put more medical dressings on after it, leave the bandage on whilse showering
And showering is important, because you have to keep the wound clean
Had to have it done twice, plus above guy is wrong, you're meant to keep it in a dressing, not get it wet too much but bathe it in salty water when you change the dressing. Don't go in the shower with it, have baths with your foot out of the water.
hey mate its not that bad iv had it 3 times and what they basicly do is they numb yout toe with a lot of injections thats probably the worst part as after that you dont feel a thing then they will start using what ever method they use to remove it they dont put you to sleep so if i were you dont watch what they do bring a book or somthing as it looks freaking horrible
OP hasn't posted for a while The toenail must have got him
Lol i had to go to bed because i had to wake up at 6 this morning cause the hospital is REALLY FUCKING FAR from where i live.
It's not bad. It hurts a lot when they do the procedure(yes, they numbed me but it didn't work too well :ohdear:), but it will come back. Mine did. Just let it grow out of the skin. I had one on each toe and I just ignored them and let them grow out, now I have both of them fixed! Just don't cut them too short or you're gunna get another one. Good luck!
The needles they put into both sides of the toe are painful but after that it's fine.
