So I just e-mailed my cousin who is the best photographer I (personally) know, and asked him if he had any film cameras laying around. He said that he has the Minolta Maxxum SPxi with a couple lenses, a Zenit 122, and a Zenit 3. He said suggested the Zenit 122 for me, but he also said that if I have any requests, he can look on the flea market. Any thoughts?
I have my dad's Zenit.
It's 40 years old, works like a champ while his better and more expensive Yashica (of the same period) broke on me mid-roll.
yeah the zenit would be a nice camera to start out on
Nice! He's sending his Zenit-122 over as soon as he can.
I wanted a Zenit 122 also the light meter on the camera may be fecked because the soviets were not that good at soldering. And its made of plastic, instead of classic thinck steel and brass.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll check it out when it gets here.
Also, thanks to everyone who helped out, I really appreciate it :)

Yep, you may want to keep notes of your shots, shoot a couple of test rolls and note your settings.
Take multiple variations of the same photo with different settings so you can compare and see which one is the best/most correct.
Or buy a light meter, you can get them for cheap nowadays.
Lookie what I got today :)

Thats the best of the russian kit lenses, a Zenitar-M, Although I was sure it was an f/1.8 lens
Also it looks just like the Helios 44M series of lenses apart from the fact its not f/2 at 58mm
i've been using it for a couple days now, and I've learned some valuable lessons... like not to open it when i'm halfway through the film
My mate still hasn't learnt that. Thank god we were urbexing and so it wwas rather dark. Hopefully all his pictures are not ruined.
But the Zenit 122 is a great camera to start with, I wish I started with a 122. They go for ~£50 now compared to My TTL (~£10)
