The greater majority of those PETA videos you see of animals in pain getting their throat cut and thrashing around are usually foreign. Also Don't eat kosher meat if you don't like animal cruelty because that requires the animal to bleed out while conscious.

There's a difference between "slapping a puppy" and animal cruelty. Someone who get's pleasure out of the physical pain of an animal, IE Dog/cock fighting, setting cats on fire, drowning dogs, abuse, among other things should be punished. Not by death, but punished nonetheless. And Industrial slaughter of animals isn't exactly cruel because it's relatively painless in the United States because we use electroshock or a captive bolt pistol to render the animal unconscious before killing them. All the PETA bullshit you see is ether Kosher meat, or foreign. Now things like whale and dolphin hunting(sentient animals, takes a very long time to kill etc), kosher slaughtering(slicing the throat of a conscious animal), and other slaughter methods(that don't render the animal unconscious) in my opinion are completely fucked up.
