They were bred from Auroch thousands of years ago and could not survive independently.

I never once said that I was inferior at any point. They do need us to live, I suppose I will need to educate you on the results of selective breeding for you to properly understand. We have bred our livestock to provide the most meat possible. During that process we have also removed several physical necessities for life outside of a cage. Chickens were never flightless birds. That is something which we have caused. They are also plump and slow. If they ever managed to leave the farms they are on, they would be wiped out by predators in a matter of weeks. Cows are descendants from buffalo, and through decades upon decades of breeding have become slow, fat, and hungry. Without our care they would literally be stuck in their fields eating their entire food supply in a matter of months.
