I'm not a brown nosing suck up, so I'll go right ahead and tell you that your work is mediocre at best. From what I see here, you have no sense of anatomy and your shading is akin to a five year-old's. I can't even say much for your creativity as you've drawn mostly internet fads that'd probably excite someone in secondary school.
Thanks for the crits dude. I'm definitely w/you on the rendering, I've always kinda struggled with it. We're getting into a segment on it in one of my classes for the next couple of weeks though so hopefully I'll get some opportunities to improve there.
Perspective exercise that I shitted up on but still turned out kinda neat:

Some grayscale still lifes--first two we were limited to four values, last one we got to use more and try to model the shapes out some more

Any tips on getting into figure drawing? I have a hard time with it
Do it more.
Not good for infinity water is illiterate, drink to be illiterate u will
I really like the buildings and the ink drawings. Have you tried your hand at doing 'kit-bashing' style buildings (like the ones from Hawken)?

I think you'd rock at those. Also your style reminds me a bit of Ashly Wood's work.

Be honest with it, if your not a pro artist it's not gonna be pro material, just draw what your good at and always finish.
I just did a group upload on imgur but the internet here is so shitty that imgur forgot about all the images except the last one, which was a giraffe:

I would say don't ONLY draw what you're good at, then you'll only ever be good at that. It's good to do a mix of stuff you're bad at, so you get better at it, and stuff you do like, so you stay having fun
draw a duck
okay
I like giraffes.
man that wouldn't weird me out if it wasn't coming from you :v:
First dude is Paul Mooney
One of the best in standup, and comedic writing.
Woo I have been having fun. Last weekend Uberslug and me went to a lecture by one of the principal character designers for Bioshock 2 (he invented the Big Sister and stuff) and today I saw a lecture on light and shadow by a computer animator who worked on The Matrix, and also Happy Feet. I'm gonna learn 3D animation from her in a couple semesters.
Anyway, here's a duck and stuff:

Mos Def (which started as an attempt at a realistic pencil portrait but then I lost the photo reference and attacked it with a pen):

Apollo 11:

Some pencil drawings of Galactopticon characters (they're so light that I couldn't fix them with levels like I did with the other pictures, sorry). The first one was an attempt at turning dynamic gestural poses into fully-drawn characters while losing as little of the energy as possible. I think they turned out okay except the one guy's arms are huge. The second one turned out surprisingly well since I almost always screw up the placement of the eyes on human (or mostly human) faces in 3/4 view. So I'm proud of that. Might paint it later.

I like that duck
Cute duck.
duck.
I decided to try and apply what I learned in my painting class to Photoshop (i.e. painting with blocks of color and value instead of starting with flat shapes and trying to add shadows and highlights via multiply/screen layers). It's definitely helped with my painting. I'm not totally happy with this though, as a thumbnail it looks kinda flat and weird and I want to be able to do less modeling and still get a nice result (like on Solomon's shirt). Anyway definitely worthwhile. I'm coloring the action panel also, as a comic book type thing.

I wish I could shade like that in Photoshop.
