Football has turned to shit. Divers and fakers all over the place. Look back at some of the classic mid 20th century stuff and you'll see awesome Football in action. I'm a qualified referee, I send people off for diving, cheating cunts. [editline]19th February 2011[/editline] Rated myself tool, brilliant.
Everton win on Penalties, Ashley Cole misses penalty, which sets up Phil Neville to score. 4-3 on Penalties.
I just saw that on the news. I didn't like the design ESPN use for penalties. It isn't hockey, fuckoff back to the US.
I could be a fucking football star, but I had to stop playing "professionally" at the age of 11 because of my heart problems :argh:
They call it Football in America because you use your foot to kick the ball to start off a drive.
I thought it was because the ball was a foot long?

Greenbay packers are dominant.

These people perfer a different sport, so leave them be.

You can't resist posting this shit here, can you?
Maybe the FA cup will be more exciting this year, now that Chelsea won't be in the final.

Who do you guys think is going to win the Champions league? I hope Bayern Munich wins it all, but i think Manchester United will.
all countries should come together for an international super bowl
the thread should be "The Soccer Thread" to reduce confusion. I know football is the correct term, but it is confusing having 2 sports being called the same thing.
the thread should be "The Soccer Thread" to reduce confusion. I know football is the correct term, but it is confusing having 2 sports being called the same thing.
''Soccer/Football thread'' would be better.
Wow, Arsenal lost? And fucking Liverpool lost 3-1.
Wow, Arsenal lost? And fucking Liverpool lost 3-1.
In my opinion, it was the day of the underdog. Birmingham won the Carling Cup, West Ham won against an on-form Liverpool side and Motherwell comfortably defeated a young, confident Celtic side.
on form liverpool with our two most-on-form players injured in the first half fucking west ham
on form liverpool with our two most-on-form players injured in the first half fucking west ham
I hear ya brother. YNWA.
Arsenal represent
Not sure if this has already been posted, I kind of hope it has. I apologize in advance if I'm late. But soccer is a shortened, bastardized form of the word "association" to refer to association football (football), so that it may be differentiated from gridiron football (handegg). I'm from Canada, and it might possibly be the worst place in the world to debate what it should be called. You often seem pretentious if you refer to it as football, but in different company you may be thought of as uncultured, American swine for calling it as soccer. It seems here, in Canada, purists and foreigners most often call it football, whereas your typical non-fan who doesn't give a fuck just calls it soccer.
the thread should be "The Soccer Thread" to reduce confusion. I know football is the correct term, but it is confusing having 2 sports being called the same thing.
Refer to your own sport as American football then ffs. Good win from Chelsea last night, makes the title race interesting again if Arsenal dunt bottle it like they usually do.
Refer to your own sport as American football then ffs. Good win from Chelsea last night, makes the title race interesting again if Arsenal dunt bottle it like they usually do.
Fuck, missed that match.
Refer to your own sport as American football then ffs. Good win from Chelsea last night, makes the title race interesting again if Arsenal dunt bottle it like they usually do.
Arsenal will bottle it. League Cup Final for example.
So how about that football?
Any dane worth a damn, will never forgot the Denmark vs. Sweeden match of old. Sweden got three goals, with none to Denmark! Then with Odens vigor, Denmark fought their way, and by the 80th minute, the score was 3-3! A red card is then given to Denmark...the stadium goes mad! A drunken dane runs into the field and launches a punch at the reff. Luckily it is parried by a danish player. Denmark is declared the loosing team, because the reffs dont feel safe on the court anymore. Madness.
:sweden: [editline]2nd March 2011[/editline]
So how about that football?
