Since starting reading this thread all I can do is hate everything you say. Watch the movie, and dont come back. Your arguments are invalid, and even if they were valid, in not sure anyone would care because your grammar sucks, and so does your arguement anyway.
So, I dont know what to think about the ending. It really mystifies me.
I am currently reading the book, but I haven't gotten far. It's good so far though.

i was just saying that i think christian bale is a good actor but after seeing how he beat up his mom and yelled at the terminator: salvation DP, i dont think hes the kind of guy i would want to meet in real life?

Loved this movie, personally, I think that he didn't actually kill those people. He was more or less just fantasizing it.

nah he definitely did kill them. the idea is that people confuse people for other people, hence why bateman was "at atlantic city" when he was killing paul allen, why several people had lunch with "paul allen" in london, why paul allen always called bateman halberstram (at first i thought these two might have switched places or something), and why the lawyer called bateman davis. perhaps this davis is a loser and people just think he's pat bateman.

I remember seeing an interview with him on the set of American Psycho, he was totally in character in it.
He didn't even have his accent, he was still in Bateman mode, and it was on the set where he's at the ATM machine.

In one scene of the book he walks around his apartment with a severed head on his dick.
He tries to make sausages out of human flesh but he doesn't really know how to cook.
Seriously you can't get the full impact from excerpts on a forum. You need to read the book.
Especially since the books in first person, makes it even more horrifying.
