I love it when that happens, it does every so often, not lately though. It's like a whole night worth of sleep in one blink, it's amazing. I close my eyes tired, it feels a little bit longer than a normal blink, then I open my eyes again and I'm awake and ready to get up.
Weird, alot of you guys are only saying this has happend to you like once or so, I get this ALL the time. Like not every time I go to sleep, but alot, tbh it's a love hate thing, personally I like having dreams, so kinda sucks when I go to bed, blink and it's time for school... Weirdly, I always like wake up 10 or 5 minutes before my alarm goes off whenever this happens. So it could be releated to your body being used to waking up the same time every day... I dunno, are there no articles or scientfic papers on this? Like before I saw this thread, I thought it was nothing special, happens to everybody. But dosen't sound like it. EDIT: Ya, the love side of it's great. When I sleep normally, dreams and all, my dreams always get interuppted at great parts by my alarm clock, and I wake up all groggy and move about like a zombie getting ready for school, but when this happens, I go to bed tired, blink, wake up and feel amazing, like not tired at all.
I have never had this before. You are all insane.
maybe it's the contrary. maybe we're geniuses.
I'm pretty sure this happened to me in a car once in my childhood it was pretty sweet to wipe out a 2 hour car ride in a blink
I would love for science to come out with a brain implant that does this on demand... With built in alarm clock.
It happened only once in my life, it felt like a blink and it was suddenly light. I actually jumped out of my bed cause it scared me.
This happened literally every night for the first seven years of my life. It was nice I must say. I had no groggy wake up period, just opened my eyes and was good to go.
Happens to me all the time. Half of the time though, it pisses me off because it feels like I got little or no sleep through the day. Also, happens in the morning when I'm attempting to get up for school.
in fact, now I remember that when I was little I would keep my eyes open while sleeping; I assumed you just stared up until you passed out
I've had this happen to me before, usually when I'm doing something important for school and I wake up at 3 in the morning and it isn't even half way done
This happens to me to. I blink at 9:30pm and when I look at the clock it's 10:00am. Freaky shit man.
Happened once. RemeMber it like it was yesterday.
I did that during school. Apparently, a man broke into the school and the cops got him while I was sleeping.
This happened to me once. Had surgery to have tubes put in my ears and they put me under. I woke up in the recovery room high as can be and blinked and I was in the discharge room still on the bed. Then I puked all over the floor from the meds :v:
I've had this happen to me on a school night yeah I was pissed, I didn't feel like I got any sleep
Happened to me like.. two days ago. Woke up very pissed.. It went from 11:30PM to 5:45AM in like 2 seconds.
I like it when this happens. I just had a thought. What if there was someone who went through their entire lives, unable to control it... Those brief glimpses at reality, no more than a dream for us, their reality being a senseless black to which there is nothing.:aaaaa:
You were sleeping IN the floor?
sleep in the carpet
I've had this happen, it feels weird just feeling perfectly awake not tired and then just going "What the fuck" at 7am in the morning.
I sometimes have trouble even getting to sleep. I'd expect it to be anxiety or worry, but I just think too much about anything and everything; the meaning of live, physics, that girl at school, how I'd explain the formation of clouds, that episode of that show I watched earlier, that book I read a few months ago. Etc.
this happened to me once i woke up at 6:00 am blinked and it was 10 in the morning
It happens a lot to me, but generally I'd have a dream, wake up early (i.e.: 3am), then 'blink' and it would be 7am. Like you though, I wouldn't have any drowsiness from that kind of waking.
Convenient thread. I've just done it 3 times today. And on Tuesday, I blinked on my chair and smoke was coming from my engine as my eye opened. I shat bricks :aaaaa:
Happened to me the other night too, I lay down on my bed because I was quite tired, however I knew Mother was going to come in with my din-dins any moment. When she did I jolted awake and felt fully refreshed v:v:v I believe it is an effect of Sleep Debt but that remains to be seen.

It's been better for a few months now, though, however this last week it's sort of been coming back.
happened to me once, felt like i dint even sleep :geno:
Last year I had a really bad throat infection so I wasn't at school for 3 weeks. Some days I lacked energy and went to bed halfway through the day. When you go to bed under these conditions I have like a 60% of a Lucid Dream AND IT IS FUCKING AWESOME!

I've had a bout of food poisoning this last week and had to go to bed to keep my energy levels regular, and at least 80% of the time I was 'asleep' it could be classed as Lucid Dreaming.
Just happened to me last night/this morning. I feel like i got no sleep
It's happened to me before on a school night. Shit really pissed me off. :argh: I suddenly awoke at 3:00 AM, and then fell asleep and a fraction of a second later my alarm is going off. I felt like I got no sleep between the course of those three hours I apparently slept through.
Oh! Oh! I didn't know what you guys were talking about but this EXACT thing happened to me. It was 3:00 AM, I lied back down, and then it was 4:50 and my alarm was going off.
