This would be nice if it happened during school.
Oh wow, this just happened to me. Last night, I was laying on my bed trying to sleep, then all of a sudden, my alarm went off. I was confused for a second. I went to check if my clock was set right and it was. I was wide awake too.
I got that to happen alot in school and on nights where I'd think I'd just take a nap and then get up and finish whatever project was due the next day...needless to say I almost never woke up in time...even slept through my alarm half the time
I get it on overnight bus journeys, I can't heve a proper sleep when moving.
Happened to me just this morning... Woke up at around 6:30, thinking "I'm definitely going to school today" because my Broadcasting teacher is showing us Iron Man. Problem was, after a few minutes of stretching I blinked and it was suddenly 10:00am. I hate fast sleeping.
Its a bit like time travel (as In your close your eyes/open them and your a couple of hours in the future/time) Sounds awesome I wish I had something like that and the ability to control it
i always do this on saturdays i look at the clock it's eight, i say, "yes, i get to laze around in bed for four more hours" i roll over and it's 3:00 in the afternoon
I did this once when I was about 8, the night before my birthday. Shit was so cash.
this happened to me before except i was drunk as fuck and i'm pretty sure they call it blacking out
Well I know what the OP means but I don't know if this was discussed but what happens as we go into sleep? You know, like one point you're watching TV in your room, next second you're awake in the morning and have breakfast, it's so instant as you sleep and you never FEEL your self sleeping.
Happened to me a few times. I'd go to bed at 8pm, close my eyes... then BAM - wake up and it's still dark.. I seriously thought I just blinked... until I look at my clock and it's 4:55am - 5 minutes before my alarm goes off - FUUUUUU.
Everyone dreams, it just happens that some people's dream recall is much poorer than others. You are really missing out. Do what it says here for about a week, then you'll start remembering them every night.
If I remembered a quarter of my dreams I'd need therapy. They're usually unbelievably horrible and mindfucking.
It's called SLEEPING, deal with it
It's called SLEEPING, deal with it
I'd LOVE to deal with this kind of sleep.
Oh, I hate this "fast sleeping". It always happened to me at, like, 3:00-5:00 a.m. on school nights. I'd look at the clock one moment and see it's 3:30 a.m. and I think "Oh, yay! I got 2-3 more hours of sleep ahead of me!" Then I look back at the clock and, what a surprise, it's 6:00 and I have to get up for school.
I close my eyes, fart, and then bam I wake up at like 5 AM for school. :argh:
Usually happens when I go out drinking. One minute I was having a blast and the next second I'm wondering "How the fuck did I get here?"
So, I had this thing I call "Fast Sleeping". This only happened twice in my life. I was in my family's car then i just closed my eyes then BOOM. I was already where we were suppose to be. Then one night i was sleeping in the floor i closed my eyes, then it was already like 6:00 AM. I'm very curious about this and googling it didn't help. So i ask you Facepunch, did any of you guys had this?
It had happened to me twice too! both times were when I was young, and I was in my bed. I closed my eyes, opened again and like 8 hours had passed. I think this occurs when you have no dreams on a night?
My parents fast sleep, First they go to their rooms, Then the next second, *BZZZZZZZZ BRBRBRBRBRBBRBRBRB HRRUUUUUUUFFFF*
I've had this happen to me once when I was about 6, I've asked people about it before but I thought it was just something weird that happened to me. And no this is not normal sleeping as some people think it is... It was very bizzare, I remember looking out my window, and closing my eyes, and when I opened them I was still looking out the window and it was morning.
I have the direct opposite, dreams that seem to last days, wake up and only an hour has passed... Then finding I am too awake to get back to sleep and it's 3AM, ARGH.
You instantly went into REM(?)/deep sleep and I suppose you loose track of time that way.
