.30 Carbine has very very little recoil, its kind of like a big ass .22 and the .45 is a blank firing gun and blanks have very little to no recoil.

It was designed for close quarters and paratroopers so the kick wasn't needed. Also the ping is exaggerated with M1 Garand in video games. Its hard to hear in real life.
The Kid has control over this gun, and does not look like a Drunken ass.
